On this style of clasp that is an excellent point most of my watches have a glide lock so that's not really an option but you are correct to take out a screws from the bracelets would have been way easier or pop out the spring bar in the clasp like you said
I just did this to 2 watches last week. I had 2 older Seiko 5s that were noisy and wouldn't wind. Took minutes to tighten those little screws but they both are now working. I had seen another video and he called it rotor wobble and that's how I fixed 2 watches. I'm glad you fixed yours
I figured this is not a San Martin or pt5000 issue per say but just one of those things that can happen on any mechanical watch regardless of make and movement
Me too this watch is one of my favorites when I heard that sound this morning my heart sank Isaiah of course going to be one of the ones that I just don't really give a s*** about it's got to be one of the ones that I really really like lol
Yeah personally I really like the pt5000 I have over a dozen watches that have the pt5000 and honestly God this is the very first issue I've had out of any of them and therein multiple different brands
San Martin buy those movement’s in. The movement manufacturers should make sure it’s secure. Unless the rotor is added after. Maybe you could ask that question.
At least it was a easy fix once you got the bracelet off. They really make those bracelets a tight fit. I just ordered another San Martin. One of the light blue BB36 homages as a summer watch.
Honestly I would not be too concerned as I have over 12 watches with the pt5000 this is the very first issue out of any of them and for full disclosure I am an auto mechanic and I wear my watches while I work and that includes swinging a hammer which is a huge no no because the vibration does go up through your hand and arm and into the watch so with that being said the the screw backing up a little bit is just something that can kind of happen with anything mechanical I had somebody else comment that they had to do the exact same thing to two of their seikos for the same reason which is completely different brand completely different movement you get what I'm saying just these things kind of happens sometimes so I would not worry and just to further my point it's still running plus 3 I mean that's excellent so I think this is just it is what it is I'll keep everybody updated
Beautiful watch, and happy you were able to fix it Ed. The movements are obviously purchased by SM, but from what i know SM does run some checks before installing them into their watches. It can happen, but it is somewhat of a big malfunction for a watch as most people would have had to take the watch to a watch repair shop.
@@jodysilvia2 I thought you knew about these Joe I was trying to sell them for a while but I couldn't get no body to buy them I have to check with my buddy at the mall I think he's still got one or two of them that he was trying to sell for me if you still got it I'll get it back from him send one to you but I'll have to order another jubilee bracelet for you as they come with the oyster I had a spare jubilee but I sent it with the one I just sent to Duncan in England the time bombardier
Yes I have well over a dozen watches with one this is the first time I've ever had any issue and not just in San Martin's but multiple different brands
Have you heard of the Alpha day date or datejust? I've been looking for one online for some time now but can't find the day date. From what I've heard it's pretty good quality and faithful homage
Quick tip, remove the spring bar in the clasp instead of between the lugs. So much quicker and easier, plus you don't risk scratching the lugs.

Enjoyed the video. Glad everything is ok

@@mr.eswatchreviews it’s a 2824 clone right?
Yes eta2824/sw200 clone the manufacturer that actually makes them send one off to cosc and it did pass their test
Nice skills on the fix dude 😊😊
I'm just glad it did not fall all the way off like I was thinking it had

I think that I will
Only one screw pin 😂at the bracelet .....and you get to the case back.
You're right I didn't think of it like that another viewer recommended popping the spring bar at the clasp
@@mr.eswatchreviews No prob, pal. And thanks for another great review from you:-).

I guess that’s a catch 22
You can’t have tight end links
if they are not tight..
Nice fix Ed
Man this has me worried about my watch which is rocking the pt5000.
