Great comment that I feel compelled to express agreement with. I have honestly spent thousands of dollars on guitar and music theory lessons, both face to face and online. I haven’t yet figured out what it is about Tony’s style that I connect with, just that I do. Very grateful for his efforts.
Hey btother ,thank you very much for getting me back to simple again. Its good to go back to stuff that i took for granted. I'm back playing again and enjoying it all over again. Thank you. Its amazing what you forgot. Im 63 a d really enjoy this again.to all the people that think they got it ...some times it is good to go back to the beginning. For your info i was a drummer for 20 somethig years and picked up a strat in 2005 and got stuck.thanks brother ,,its all fun again
Really enjoy your lessons - I finally found something that is a perfect fit for my skill level - your tutorials are very easy to follow and very well explained - great job mate - cheers from Canada!!
Tony you make it look so easy,,it's great to watch you play I myself knows alot of chords and always loss it when it came to strumming so now I'm trying to learn tabular format and a bit of blues I love your licks it would be great if you could put it on the video in tabular format so I took take away and practice,,thanks irishproudce,,Y, N, W, A,,,
Great lesson! I've been running scales & chords, but not knowing how to put them together enough to call myself a guitar player. This is just the thing for me.
I have a passion for acoustic guitars and have Been “attempting” to learn how to play for 40 of my 57 yrs. I own some very nice instruments with my D41 topping the collection. I’ve always felt kinda guilty for having it, as despite the 3 years of guitar and music theory lessons, I can’t play it as it deserves to be played. Anyway, Your lessons have taught me so much and have reignited my passion to practice and improve. Thank you so very much Tony.
You're very welcome! I'm truly glad to hear that you found it helpful, especially during your recovery. Thank you for listening! Remember, progress may take time, man! but every step forward is a victory. Keep rocking! 😃
Just stumbled upon your channel.. have been looking to get out a rut I’ve been in, so I thank you for having these. Learning new ways to do okay chords and such. Appreciate ya’! 🤘🏻
Tony where have you been, found you yesterday enjoyed your video. Another popped up today and I’m now subscribed. Love the teaching style, and I’m hooked.
You asked about a new guitar? I,d highly recommend Yamaha LL16 I'm all about construction - play ability, far suppasses martins for value, check them out!
Thanks Ralph! Yeah the reason I don’t do that is the retention rate is always poor as people see the end result and leave which means RUclips doesn’t recommend it unfortunately. You may have never seen this video if I did. It sucks but I need to keep people watching for longer for the video to perform 🤘
I agreed with Ralph, then I agreed with you, but now I agree with Ralph again! Seems to me, if the viewer is upper intermediate, it will be too easy and they will leave anyway. Plus you could fast forward to the end and just watch the end result anyway. In my opinion (just one guy here), giving the person a view of the final product up front would get you more consistent viewers over time and they - like I did - will stay for the whole thing to learn it. P90X (the workout) didn't get my money because they showed pushups and squats and hard work! They got me because they showed me end results and said, "I'll show you how to do this." Just food for thought. Nice lesson, regardless, so thanks. 🙂 @@GuitarME
OMG. You said “Eric Clapton” the exact same way a dude I went to school with, who used to prank call people and tell people he was “Eric Clapton” would say it. I flashed back so hard I almost gave myself whiplash and lost my breath from laughing. Awesome video. Excellent insight, sir.
Or do it like Jimmy Page , wrap your thumb over the #3 fret low E and barre the #3 B and E with the same hand. Then you can pick the low E and strum up on the barre.
Very good my man great wee lesson lad cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪 ur doing a great job helping people here it’s much appreciated so thanks my man take care !! All these wee things add up !! Brian 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🎸🎸🎸👍
Why do people that are giving lessons on RUclips always slide their hand up and down the neck after they strum a chord and then slide their hand up and down the neck? Why don't they just leave their hand at the chord they just strummed until they play the next chord, is it just to give their hand something to do?

Sounds good
That's nice Tony. I even started doing my own licks on it too. That G chord sounds good strummed up from the high E. Keep it'em coming!
He plays it at 7:00
Awesome lesson 😁. I am going to practise this! I always wondered where to start learning lead guitar! 😳
Cool! Enjoy the practice, man! Keep up the great work! And thank you!
Very cool. Thank you very much. You have a good teaching style. 💪
Thanks so much man!
Superb!
That's Mel Bay's pentatonic position 1, head back to the bar grab a few more pints and maybe you can find 5 and 6.
I don’t drink and don’t know Mel Bay
Great Lessons:)
Thank you!
Very helpful, Tony! Many thanks.
very good! I like this! Thank you Sir!
Cheers Tony, that will be great to try and get down 👍
Awesome! Enjoy man! 🎸🤘
You’re great man. Great lesson thank you 🙏

Nice! Thank you!
The key is every day until its second nature to you and you don't have to think about it.
Very, very useful, thank you!
I was following this guy
cool riff.....thnx....!~
I meant to say, my Dad used to wear those caps. He had a black, white and brown one. I use to call them muggers caps, lol.
Sweet!
Great lesson ,Thankyou. I really think it would help your channel to do the play through first so people know what they are working towards.
Thanks Ralph! Yeah the reason I don’t do that is the retention rate is always poor as people see the end result and leave which means RUclips doesn’t recommend it unfortunately. Awesome and great fun. And of course, I can do it all one fret lower in A. Love it!
Sure! You can move this around anywhere :)
Brilliantl 👍
Great stuff Tony. Can I ask what microphone you are playing through? Great sound. Kudos from Alva.
OMG. You said “Eric Clapton” the exact same way a dude I went to school with, who used to prank call people and tell people he was “Eric Clapton” would say it. I flashed back so hard I almost gave myself whiplash and lost my breath from laughing.
Awesome video. Excellent insight, sir.
Good stuff
Thanks, man!
ThAnkyou. New subscriber.
That hammer on then hit the 6th, is harder, then it looks😂 the rest is handy but that part going to send me over the edge
Subscribed! ❤
He gets what on the B string?
NOW we know where the like of Clapton, Bonamassa and Co get those licks.
Yeah Claptons never off the bloody phone askin for new licks!
@@GuitarME - Nice one 🤣
Outstanding!!! Most teachers bang the instrument like a drum, I like your style, instead!
It's odd the you start on a minor chord. I've never seen that before in blues.
Or do it like Jimmy Page , wrap your thumb over the #3 fret low E and barre the #3 B and E with the same hand. Then you can pick the low E and strum up on the barre.
awesome lesson
Thank you so much! Delighted you enjoyed it man
American speakers turn on closed capture you'll go nuts trying to understand this guy 😳
Much appreciated Brian! Thanks for watching matey!
That last lick is straight from black sabbaths rat salad
Thank goodness for "CC". Without it, I could understand only 20 percent of what this gentleman is saying. 😅🤣😂
😂😂😂😂
What's "CC" ? Where are you from? 🙃
always play the lick first
Why do people that are giving lessons on RUclips always slide their hand up and down the neck after they strum a chord and then slide their hand up and down the neck? Why don't they just leave their hand at the chord they just strummed until they play the next chord, is it just to give their hand something to do?
Just to look cool 😎
Eventually your hand just wants to keep moving. It's about feeling the Grove and looking cool is a bonus 😎
Whaaaaat??? B-sex???? :O over-18 video?
Nice✌️💙🎶😁👍
Thanks man!
