Hastings College Handbell Choir Concert and Millennial Vibe

- The Hastings College Handbell Choir went on tour this fall, performing nine times in eight locations over a five-day period, with the final performance coming on Nov. 5 in the Perkins Auditorium.
The tour began November 1 in Holdrege, Nebraska; then moved to Imperial, Nebraska; Holyoke, Colorado; Sterling, Colorado; Fort Morgan, Colorado; Boulder, Colorado; North Platte, Nebraska; and concluded with this performance.
Performing at four high schools and four churches in western Nebraska and Colorado during the tour, the handbell ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Byron Jensen, brought more than 60 bells, 60 chimes and an array of other instruments, including strings and percussion.
Performances of the 21-member Handbell Choir also included Millennial Vibe, a five-voice a capella group making their debut this semester at Hastings College. Members of both groups are primarily from Nebraska and Colorado.
One of my favorite concerts to conduct. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Beatiful music! I hope one day I'll have the chance to play that music. Where I live there's only one of this instrument and is in a church, so common people like are not able to see it, touch it or learn to play. I hope one day I can learn.
