May I suggest that anyone new to Christianity read Romans first; it tells you how to be a Christian. Then read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; which tell you the nature of Jesus. Then finish the New Testament except for Revelation. Then read the entire Old Testament and then read and study Revelation. I have been a Christian for 45 years and have found this helpful. I am so proud of you.

Love your book, but I love even more is that you know how important it is to have a relationship with our heavenly Father. He loves use to pray ( talk ) to him. I absolutely love your video. Your mindset and intimacy with Christ took me years to reach bc I was a Christian who was always trying to follow a checklist of how I should pray, how I should study, when, how long etc and for years I felt that I was never measuring up. Up to what!!? I am so thankful for the past 3 years that GOD has revealed himself to me and I have stop putting my love and devotion for Christ in a box. I am much older than you and have been a Christian longer you but as you have exhibited our GOD is no respecter of persons, or age. I’ve never heard of this before but it’s inspiring! I especially love the nature section, I think that counts as natural theology (or at least a precursor to it). This also gave me an idea for something I would add to the “acts” prayer method if I did this, something like a promise or commitment where you tell God and yourself what you’re going to do or what you have been doing that relates to what you’re asking. It doesn’t always make sense directly- like if you pray for a sick relative, you can’t promise to try to make them better because that’s not possible, but you can promise to try to make them more comfortable however you can. Or if you pray for a neighbor who can’t pay their rent, say what you’ll do to help that one neighbor and how you could try to influence city politics to prevent the rent from being raised, etc. That kind of thing fits well with the acronym “acts” and reminds us that God needs people to work through. Like deciding how you’re going to harness the inspiration that God sends you in return when you pray.
I love your binder. I came across journaling Bibles and prayer journals. I am so excited because I love scrapbooking and this is perfect for me. When I get home from work I am so excited to work in my journals. I love God and I love how He directed me to this ceativity. God bless you.

I am much older than you and I have been struggling with my faith for a long time now. I have been actively working on trying to find my way back. I have been journaling in a composition notebook for a few weeks on and off about verses that I want to inspire me but just were not what I need at this time. I love the verse Matthew 6:6. It meant something to me when I heard you read it. I have struggled for so long over just where to begin, and this verse touched me. I don't know where to go next, but I now have my verse to remember and keep moving forward. Thank you.

I really liked what you had to say. No matter what religion or not religion that a person follows, we are all on a journey for a better understanding of our faith and all that goes along with it. I think it's important to be respectful of all religions or the journey that a person takes. I think we can all take lessons from each other on how to take the journey we wish to follow. I appreciate all that you are bringing to the table and sharing. It is all important.
At first I was confused about where to start but then I was introduced to Max Anders “30 Days to Understanding the Bible.” It is really easy to follow and he really does a good job at writing it in a new believers perspective. Then when I finished it, I bought a Concordance and a Bible Encyclopedia to help me as I read and studied the Bible.
This video is so inspiring. I am starting out on my own journey of faith renewal. I'll definitely be incorporating some of these elements into my 'Little Book of Light.' :)

I just want to say that as I was watching this I really felt the spirt. I think I might start a war journal. I know I have gone to church since I was four but I have been really struggling lately with my faith. I have starting go to a different church since then and it has helped a lot. Thanks for sharing & also pointing out that people relate to God & express their love for Him in different ways. Especially that devotional time doesn't look the same for everyone either! As an example - I used to do the "1/2-hour read a devotional book/pray first thing in the morning thing", with lengthier Bible-reading on my commute. In-depth study happened via courses run at my church. BUT - now my schedule is completely different, so is my commute, so my Devos look different:- Prayer first thing, then audio-Bible on my way to the bus-stop. Email daily devotional passage & bible verses in the evening. Study at the weekends when I'm not working. I guess what I'm trying to say is - find what works for you & don't be afraid to change it up if it STOPS working.

Leticia Velez thank you so much! Unfortunately the key cards I have are just one's my church hands out, so I'm not sure where you could get some otherwise. You could definitely make your own by either printing favorite scripture on a glossy card stock and hole punching or hole punching bible promises cards and prayer cards which you can purchase from Amazon or Christian stores on the Internet. If u decide that u want to memorize Bible verses....on amazon they have clear plastic name tag covers and I cut index cards to fit in them and I write the verses I want to memorize on the index cards. With the plastic protector I can carry them in my purse and they don't get torn up. Then when I'm out and about I pull them out. Once I have a verse memorized I put that card in my war binder
Hi! Just from my knowledge, it's definitely not unholy to be cutting a bible verse art book and using it for other purposes. God's word isn't just supposed to be limited inside an art book, if it helps anyone be encouraged, it's just perfect for cutting and all. Very beautiful journal by the way! I live in an apartment complex. It has trees and bushes everywhere. I sometimes go out side and just look in amazement. He did good. I love it.

I just want to say that as I was watching this I really felt the spirt. I think I might start a war journal. I know I have gone to church since I was four but I have been really struggling lately with my faith. I have starting go to a different church since then and it has helped a lot. I hope u keep on this path and stay strong, it's a good path to be on.

Hi Kelsey, Thanks for the Video. I watched your Video. Can I suggest something? I have been a Christian for 33 years but I have never heard of a War Binder. I know what a Prayer Journal is but I didn't know what you you meant by a War Binder. It would be good if before you show your War Binder to tell us what is a War Binder, and the difference between the two, i.e. War Binder and Prayer Journal. Cheers.

I just wanted to say that this video is truly inspirational 💜 I am (kind of) new to Chritianity and a lot of the devotional/war binder/faith videos can be a bit... Much. This wasn't and I really wanna thank you for that 💜

Thanks for sharing & also pointing out that people relate to God & express their love for Him in different ways. Especially that devotional time doesn't look the same for everyone either! As an example - I used to do the "1/2-hour read a devotional book/pray first thing in the morning thing", with lengthier Bible-reading on my commute. In-depth study happened via courses run at my church. BUT - now my schedule is completely different, so is my commute, so my Devos look different:- Prayer first thing, then audio-Bible on my way to the bus-stop. Email daily devotional passage & bible verses in the evening. Study at the weekends when I'm not working. I guess what I'm trying to say is - find what works for you & don't be afraid to change it up if it STOPS working.

New subscriber and have been on my spiritual journey truly seeking a better relationship with the Lord for about 2 years but I still feel like a “new” Christian and I’m definitely ok with that! I am intrigued with the War binder and have been searching for the “right” video to introduce me to them. I’ve started to watch probably 10 and stopped seconds in because they didn’t resonate with me. I subscribed when I heard you say that if faith isn’t for you to check back on other videos and because you are still “new” in your journey! Leticia Velez thank you so much! Unfortunately the key cards I have are just one's my church hands out, so I'm not sure where you could get some otherwise. You could definitely make your own by either printing favorite scripture on a glossy card stock and hole punching or hole punching bible promises cards and prayer cards which you can purchase from Amazon or Christian stores on the Internet. If u decide that u want to memorize Bible verses....on amazon they have clear plastic name tag covers and I cut index cards to fit in them and I write the verses I want to memorize on the index cards. With the plastic protector I can carry them in my purse and they don't get torn up. Then when I'm out and about I pull them out. Once I have a verse memorized I put that card in my war binder

Hi! Just from my knowledge, it's definitely not unholy to be cutting a bible verse art book and using it for other purposes. God's word isn't just supposed to be limited inside an art book, if it helps anyone be encouraged, it's just perfect for cutting and all. Very beautiful journal by the way! I might use some of the segments as an inspiration for my own war journal :) thankyou for not being afraid of expressing your faith here on youtube
