Anna M. Addison No its the same machine ive used in the last 7 or so vids Anna, the Phantom 2, this is it in ATTI mode which is similar to GPS but it doesnt hold its position and will keep drifting until you stop it, its a little faster in this mode :) It also has manual mode but i think theyre a bit arse-heavy for stunting etc so i rarely use it, my other machines i will probably sell off as this one does most of what i like doing, i might just upgrade to the Phantom 2 Vision+ which can be controlled from a mobile phone app as well as manual control, the Phantom 3 and 4 can do this also but cost a lot more for little gain ... in my opinion.
FPV Carlisle Cumbria oh? Cool.. They only sell P3 & P4 here.... Yeah, it seemed faster, maybe because of the tilt... not sure... well, whatever you do keep doing what your doing, just love watching your films... spoiled yet? Ha!
In ATTI mode the P2 isnt fighting to stabilise itself like it does in GPS mode so makes for smoother flight, you dont notice much because of the gimbal, it still has the same degree of roll etc as in GPS mode i just dont fly it fast in GPS as thats better for slow flying/static footage. Spoiled haha! Go for a used one, youll get them at bargain prices :)
Nice video Rob and like the fast but fluid motion on this one :-D Cracking view too, I would have sent the drone through the old tin shelter lol :-D ATB GL & HH LittleJohn Metal Detecting
Haha i did John but as it contains the farmers things i decided not to include the clip :) ATTI is a great mode and still very stable, i can see you getting one of these :P
FPV Carlisle Cumbria Ah ok fair enough then with the Shelter run ;-) I did look at some drones whilst in London when I took my Daughter to see The Vamps & The Tide at concert but the drones are £££'s of pounds which is too much for me right now sadly :-( How much did your puppy cost? You should pick up a Phantom 2 Vision+ for around £250, thats what im looking at next, mines the Phantom 2, with the Vision+ you can send it on autonomous flights with waypoints, have it follow you and orbit things etc, some cool apps you can run via your mobile, the Phantom 3 and 4 are out but will cost a lot more and just about do the same as the Vision+. For ease of use in GPS mode (if it looks bad just let go and itll correct itself and hover and wait for you) its perfect for learning with and you can switch to ATTI or even Manual mode when confident. Mine cost me around £600 new and that was without a cam, i added my own GoPro and soldered the video transmitter in, i wouldnt buy a new one now, used will work just fine.
FPV Carlisle Cumbria I will have to look into these drones a little more I think now from your suggestions as they are really kool little gadgets if used correctly like you do and I would love to show off some of our country side down here :-) ATB GL & HH LittleJohn Metal Detecting
Yeh theyre great fun John, the Vision+ can transmit its video to your mobile or a tablet so its very handy, goggles are the ultimate FPV thrill i think, your eyes are up there with the drone, its like a realtime flight sim :) If you need any advice just let me know John, would love to see the countryside where your at.
You are blowing my mind! Love it, keep it going... Thanks, Rob for sharing! TC, Anna
Your welcome Anna, glad your still liking them :)
FPV Carlisle Cumbria of course.... this one was a faster machine.... a different machine.... one of your racers?
