What a great woman, I'm happy to have learned of her. It's also very refreshing to see a man proud of a strong partner.

Almost joined up with the caravan in the early 70's after hearing Steven speak in Kansas City. The philosophy mostly still rings true for me today. Was not so much into the sexual sharing thing though.

Sexual sharing? Bleh! Eeek! Not my bag either. But Ina speaks the truth about birthing and I'm grateful to hear it.

I heard that she kicked their dog too!!! Get a life RICK !!! Ina May is one of the toughest ,most caring, down to biz, loving, hard working, smartest, person I have ever met and WOULD NOT cause harm or hardship toward anyone without necessity !!
Rick I hope that you are able to work out your anger issues in the future without trying to bring others to your level !
All my love to all ,John

Ina May and the inhabitants of the Farm do NOT get along. They put up a headstone for Stephen at the Farm Cemetery, and she and their kids were...not happy. She ended up in jail. Also, she may have been a great midwife, but apparently, she was really mean to actual children... according to some people who grew up there and were around her often.

    • @mariahclaar7915
      @mariahclaar7915 Год назад

But yes, you can still live there. They scour your financial records to make sure you can afford it because there aren't many jobs in the area. They run background checks. You have to be voted in. You also have to pay a membership fee, and you can own your house, but not the Farm land it sits on... you lease that. It's mostly retirees who have lived there for 50 years on and off and their kids. Who are just waiting to take it over. Cool in some ways, not in others. Like anywhere. It's not a utopia. The gossip mongering, slander, etc. that happens is... middle school cringe coming from 70 year old ex "hippies".

Plus, child molestation was a known, unacknowledged problem in the '70's/80's. The old gaurd still refuses to talk about it and denies that they knew. They even put together a defense fund for a lawyer for one known pedo who got busted. Then these kids (now adults) have addiction and mental health problems, and the Farm just shrugs and says, "Not our problem." They don't offer to pay for rehab or mental health services for the victims. It's just so sad.

    I'm not surprised.
The cult of birth was in no way reflected by the way they treat their children.
I well recall a mother on The Farn talking to her crying baby, saying "Lucky thing I don't believe you. Bullshit! Bullshit."
It wasn't just her. It was part of "telling people where it's at."
It didn't get any nicer when they got older.

Opinunate ted ~ I lived there for two years, part of that time with my own child, and I saw no weird behavior like you’ve described. The parenting there was very good and the kids thrived

Wow, to see such negative comments about these beautiful pioneers is truly heart breaking. Unless you were really there, and unless you witnessed the TRUE upbringing of the children, you are sadly wrong about any abuse accusations. Our children were our most beloved additions to the family. Shame on you for trying the shine such a false narrative about the best experience of so many lives. Nobody was ever abusive towards our children ❤

The Farm lost its way when it abandoned all humility. It went from being pro-life to pro-abortion, and from allowing a real divinity to a cult of self-worship.

I used to be a friend of Ina May's. I had a lot of respect for her influence on natural birth and breastfeeding. But after she and Farm midwife Pamela Hunt, along with Plenty International director Peter Schweitzer, stole my friend Rick's house that he built, I can't recommend what she's up to without recommending a very shady enterprise. Farm midwives are using the stolen house for their own purposes. Search indigogo for " help me take back my house " to learn the facts.

Not to mention having gone from being pro-life to being pro-abortion.

My friend was brutally sodomized and passed around as a young boy.
He is mentally disturbed and addicted to meaningless sex. Nothing is what it seems in this world.

Ina May went to jail for shooting up the headstone the Farm put up in the cemetery there for S.G.l...or did she use an ax, I can't remember. Rumor had it she was protecting her son by claiming she did it. The property is beautiful.

The statistics meticulously documented in Ina's books over decades (including twins & triplets) are better than any OBGYN in the world. Have a look for yourself! As a MW I also recommend all midwives read a translation of The malleus maleficarum(the hammer of witches) next biggest in print to the bible (since Gutenberg press created) for 200yrs 'there is nothing more loathsome than the midwife-burn her'. If you ever wonder why all the queens of Egypt gave birth standing or squatting with a woman under each arm as depicted on 4000yrs of antiquities- then all of this history not relayed...all the pieces fall together. learn your herstory ladies!❤
