So I finally finished this game but not without personal struggles. Started this game a couple of months back until our dog got sick. When she got out of the vet hospital I spent some little free time playing this game with her by my side. She passed away after a six week battle with an aggressive cancer. I then eventually picked the game back up and finished it. This theme reminds me of her just resting peacefully and waiting for me in my dreams. Save the game and rest for now pupper.
Wow, that is very touching. I have never played this game, but this song playing while reading your comment brought a tear to my eyes. May your dog rest in peace.
feels good knowing im not the only one who appreciates this song... I remember leaving the game on all night just to listen to it. And recorded the tv to a casset tape to listen to it in school..lol
i recorded it onto a vhs to play on my bedroom tv so i could play it at night when i was trying to sleep or when i wanted to relax. my mom and dad were gamers too so they had the snes downstairs on the main tv.
lol same i used to listen to it to sleep back in the day. And i think i might start again. Last night in my dream I heard this music again as I watched a beautiful soaring comet up close.
makes me think of all the times me and my friends would get together and play all weekend. and as we got older it was less and less. now I almost never see any of them. now all grown up in have my own family. how time just passes so fast. we never really grow up though , deep down we still remain a child.
This song just always make me tear up. Everytime I play this game or this song it hits you in the heart. It makes me think of home. Of the one I love. It also makes me thing of my dad (we played this together a lot). Even after he passed it makes me think of him. A song from years gone past just hits the heart in a way.. you tear up lightly but smile a bit
Man I remember when I first heard this song when I was 4 years old. I remember it being the first "video game song" that made me feel emotional... almost empathetic and hopeful, but somehow sorrowful at the same time. Man, Yasuhiro Kawasaki freaking touched my heart with this one. I can still remember staring back at the planet from up in space, holding Kara's hand. I was soooo sad when it ended because they would forget the memories they had of each other...... ToT. But as least there was a nice little hint at the end showing they met again in a new life at school. UGHHH this game is so good and the soundtrack is so good @o@
I got this game when it came out. I absolutely love it and still own it. Now it's 2022 and I'm 37 and this music still makes me incredibly sad. I'm filled with a deep sense of longing.
34 and I can listen to this for an hr bawling my eyes out like a drunk husband going through a divorce. I hardly even play video games but how I wish I could go back to my younger self enjoying life and it’s vibrancy more than I do now
@@KnivesNIN I’m actually planning on it soon with the new silent hill 2 and F! Still need a ps5 though. On the other note I have a snes/nes combo console with a cartridge that’s holds up to like 120 games haha
This song is just so beautiful, and i think that is a reason. Here is more beautiful songs, that i like: ruclips.net/video/rVZzQGRTT7c/видео.html , ruclips.net/video/Ifwf8RrU-94/видео.html , ruclips.net/video/EIUeZ4OqLXU/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/Wdt1pzddYTI/видео.html .
Maybe you watched anime from the 80s and 90s and your subconscious remembers very emotional scenes from it. It's very reminiscent of a lot of sad scenes in very very good animes like Nadia the Secret of Blue Water or in general 80s and 90s animes that had Hideaki Anno or Miyazaki involved.. I insntaly remember at least 2 anime that used this type of music.
It probably makes you think of playing this game back in the day, and makes you think of those times in a sentimental way (that's what happens to me with this music, at least).
Locked away forever there is a perfect moment in time where my friends and I are playing this in the 90's and we all hear this song for the first time.
This track is one of my favorites by far. It has such power to remind us of the best parts of our memories, even things we had thought we'd forgotten entirely. Especially here in 2020, I see this track as a reminder that there is still light, compassion, and good to be found in the world, and that no matter how grim or hopeless things look, it's worth fighting for.
There's just something about this game that makes feel so many things at once. I'm sure a big part of it is because it was part of my childhood, but so were many others that don't instill this feeling. The game and it's out of this world sound track has an ominous sense of melancholy, sadness, longing, love, and hope all at once. I'm happy I have people to share this experience with. Cheers my dudes 🍻
thx for this. beautiful nostalgia. idk how we got this on SNES, but he gameplay, story, areas, and ost are unforgettable. me n my bro had this on discord chat he lives outta state. he fell asleep a bit ago im bouta head to bed too lol. to sleep, to chill, to focus, this a classic amongst the rest of Illusion of Gaia soundtracks
evert time i hear that awesome song i fell asleep its my best music of all time and i use this song to meditate so i can have spiritual peace i would listen to it every night when i sleep it is that awesome
A song with no words, yet all of us felt the same feeling when hearing this song. I'd save the game and lay in front of the t.v just to hear this and would be lulled into sleep. Ah, the 90s.
It's kinda impossible to really describe what it was like growing up with this era of videogames. Each console was actually unique and not just the same PC with a different brand. The same game would even be different on each console. Seeing the jump from 8-bit to 16-bit to 32-bit in what, the span of 10 years? Wild. Plus the entire market hadn't been hijacked by a handful of Microsoft's and Sony's yet - there was more independence for developers to do what they wanted. Japanese were pumping out masterpieces, pushing 2D to its limits. There was an actual, real industry in europe. USA was there but hadn't captured everything yet. I'm glad I got to grow up with the 10-20 years of peak videogames.
One thing that I love about Nintendo, is that the makers of the game are so passionate about what they do (if you ever watch an interview of them, you'll see what I mean). And when you have creators who are so passionate about their work, you get things like this in an amazing game. Things that make you look at the world differently. Things that make you think and feel something. It's really quite beautiful...
It's like this song is telling us nothing matters in life but love and kindness for one another and to keep imaging your own perfect paradise where you can be joyful and happy and safe forever. FTW
A few times in my life I have said to myself "I'm always gonna remember this." Usually unprompted, and terribly mundane things committed to rarely trafficked back annals of the mind. This is playing, I am in Donna's basement, a 70's futurist split level home out of which operates the greatest home daycare known to man. I am 4 years old, soon to be five. It is slightly cloudy in that warm midwestern summer way. The muted orange light coming through the basement bay window stops just short of where I am planted on the floor by the TV. I am rushing to save because I know that my grandfather will be coming soon to pick me up. I am the last kid there, the room I sit in is normally a mild riot, but now it's me in the earthen womb. A shadow dances across the floor to my right, someone is walking up the front steps. Something in me says "you're always going to remember this" It's grandpa, I rush to greet him. The clank of the door and the creak of the interior screen. "Howdy howdy!" I miss you gramps.

This feels like straight outa Hideaki Anno or Miyazaki anime msuic. Like its the scene of explanation for fantastic power. Like when Nadia encounters Noah or tells of the Ancient people of Atlantis or when in castle in the Sky they are inside Laputa and are next to the crystal..
Es gracioso porque este juego lo terminé cuando pequeño y no le tomé el peso a los ultimos minutos del juego, ahora hace un par de meses lo volvi a terminar y ver el final mas escuchar esto me partió el corazón...
