Mike Herrera has been an inspiration to me since i was a little kid. Hes the reason I picked up a guitar and the reason I started singing and writing songs, This man and his music have helped me through so much its almost like his music tells my life story. I love mxpx and Mike Herrera. Thank you for being an inspiration.

First month in Covid lockdown I had to kick an opioid problem alone. Adele, Shinedown and Mike Herrera got me thru the worst. This song, omg. I was trying to sing with it, teeth chattering/chills/crying. By the 4th week I was killing it, singing with my hairbrush microphone lol.
I hope musicians like Mike know the magic ripples that eminate from every chord.

Mxpx is the best band ever. Listening to them since I was 6. Saw them in 07 in Tulsa OK. As well as tumbledown. Great performers, awesome how they sound the same live as they do in the studio. not many bands can do that...

i became an mxpx/mike herrera fan around age 11, so that was back in 97-98ish. he was my first famous person crush and i had an entire wall of my room dedicated to him and MxPx. We went through a lot of color ink back in those days. I remember waiting an hour for my apple computer to load quicktime so i could watch Chick Magnet video and squeal with delight. I actually thought I was going to marry him at some point; I even tracked down his e-mail address at one point lol (sorry, mike!) I finally saw them in my later teens and again at the Stone Pony when I was about 20ish, in 2006 or so (crazy how you start to forget the years and ages!). My entire teenage soundtrack is MxPx pretty much. I'm delighted to see and hear Mike is doing well and doing his own thing now. He looks even better than he did 15 years ago ;)

MxPx was one of my first Punk loves along with the Offspring... Started listening to themn grade 10 when I was 16 in 1998... still get a great feeling hearing any of their tunes!
MXPX and Green Day were the two bands that really showed you could be a punk vocalist without having to sound like your throat went through a cheese grater. To this day, Mike is a still an absolute beast! Best vocalist in the pop punk game!
I probably speak on behalf of a lot of mxpx fans...thank you for making such awesome music throughout all these years. I know it's gotten me through some sad and good times as well. I write music and mxpx is a huge influence. Thank you mike ( and tom and yuri)!!!!

Im 20 years old and songs from mxpx blink 182 and other sick bands make me ask god why I was born in the 90's. Shoulda been created in the 80's. Much love mike herrera I'm a die hard blink 182 fan but mxpx is sick as fuck. And with all honesty blink have drifted from there roots but mxpx stayed true to it's colors. Keep jammin!

each string would be tuned 1 note lower or "one fret lower". so if he were to play an open E major chord per say, he would in turn actually be playing a D sharp major. glad to help you dude.

It is different musically. The song is from the Secret Weapon album, and originally is very punk rock/alternative sounding, but this is an acoustic version. Lyrically, it's the same.
