Great video pat i watch them every evening 👍 👌 there not to long and no bullshit filmed just to make time. Great fan keep up d good work im a calf to beef farmer in west tipperary and im started feeding clover silage this year and the return is better than i imagined but yields for smaller than i expected but the weather had that part in it.
Your nearly on 2k subscriber fair play lad I wouldn't have d balls to daily video blog my farm I'd be prepping and cleaning all morning before any video d cattle would be starving by d time I hit record 😂😂😂😂
If you were just feeding straights, for weanlings or finishing traditional type heifers would you feed a simple 3 way mix of barley/soybeans/maze? Would you drop the maze ideally for weanlings?
Information on the different diets are very interesting! For silage with a DMD of 72% what impact does a low DM of 16% have on the overall feed quality? Or is it just that the sillage bales will be eaten faster compared to 20% DM?
Fierce interesting one as always, if you can keep things interesting on the shortest day of the year I can’t wait to see what the summer will bring
Always something going on, I'm glad people like watching it

Nutrition is nearly complex you can get the same results from 100 different mixes. It all depends what good value feeds are avivable in your area.

@@seamus2035 you will struggle to get high enough intake to maximise performance with wet silage
Good job
Very interesting about the rations ...is the extra solids in sugar beet protein or sugar and are mineral levels about the same ?
@tomgreene1843 it's energy beet is low protien between 8% and 9%
