We just got one of these and it's fantastic, a bit challenging for someone who is visually impaired or blind because the keys do not beep when pressed and the unit remains on the last used function requiring you to make a note of what you used last. On the plus side, it has actual buttons versus touch pads so no tactile marking needed and food comes out great. Our third Ninja product so far.
I agree about the addition of a back-lit panel being a HUGE benefit, having vision problems myself. Personally, I enjoy that it is set to stay at the last used function, since I use it most- but we are all different! ❤

Hi there! Great questions! The Speedi does not have a Pressure setting like the Foodi does, however you are still able to make soups and stews using the Sear/Saute (Stovetop) or Slow Cook settings! You can bake desserts using either the Steam & Bake, or Bake/Roast settings!

One very bad thing about ninja speedi. It works beautifully but before you buy it, Please note that you cannot get spares for it readily in Asia, I simply cannot it and the spares I found over internet from Amazon does not ship to Asia.

My current Foodi just tipped and fell off off the counter. Pro-tip invest in a 3rd party, extended warranty. The manufacturer's extended warranty (obviously) doesn't cover humans messing things up. That said: i needed a smaller unit, so this Looks a like a great replacement option.

And.... my giant Foodi actually still works- not sure if it will pressure cook yet, but the crock pot/ rice cooker/ broiler, etc. works just fine! I'm going to see if someone wants it.

Hi, y33b01. The steam function is activated by adding water to the bottom of the pot. Place the crisper tray in the bottom position and add the ingredients. Move SmartSwitch to Rapid Cooker, then use the center front arrows to select STEAM.
