I live in a community that is half black and half white. All of my elementary school teachers were black, except one. But I never heard the word "ashy" till Jr. high, lol! I'm not sure what happened, but it seemed like overnight all my black friends started carrying those little blue lotion bottles around! It was just bizarre to me! Around 1985.

I have fine Irish (American) hair, mine would look gross and greasy and oily and like I'm unwashed if I put oil in my hair. My natural oil is as much as I'd want or need.

I’m from Scotland, trust me, most men over 35 have their head shaved because baldness is so prevalent. I don’t even notice baldness on men.
im russian and i do put oil in my hair as treatment , like a hair mask, because my hair is wavy so if i brush it it has frizz, my hair is like one step before being straight and silky.
but i cant leave it on haha, i have to rinse it

As an Ethiopian even if its black we have all kind of hair interms of softnes i mean we have too soft,midium,very hard.
So our barbers cut every kind of hair you dont go different places for different kind of hair for men or women any kind of hair done at one place

Some white people may do some oil treatment but not on a daily basis I do have naturally curly hair but it is very fine and low porosity. Sometimes receding hairlines can actually look good though. No combovers are NOT attractive. Yes, white men do care about their hairlines.Loving your content eep it up.

Lots of Turkish barbershop in the UK these days so lost more guys black and white get more cuts and wet shaves.
I only put oil in my hair twice a week and on my body in winter. I’ll let people of other races do my hair but only barbers not hairdressers. In my town black guys go to the barbers (the 2 I know of) so I know I can go there too or my cousins cause I’ve seen their work on afro hair.
I'm Danish with mixed 2c/3a waist length hair, I put Moroccan oil in it, but I cut my hair myself, I don't like it when other people touch my hair.
when i was younger i put baby oil in my hair to have a "wet look".. i get my cut 2 time a year, shave it in summer by that time winter is here and cut it again after winter,
So , you cut it based on the seasons or is this just something you’ve just always done?
@@TheDemouchetsREACT i didn't do it when i was younger, i guess iv started doing it for about 10 years or so, after i starting pay attention how long it took my hair to grow, than i figure out how often i should get it cut, basically i get it cut when school starts and when school is out for the summer. im not in school just figured it out that way. if any of that makes scene. 🤷♂

Asians (Indians, Chinese, Japanese, etc) tend to be owners of the small shops in our communities. At least from the Caribbean standpoint they left their homelands with more generational wealth during indentured servitude period than the slaves were freed with, so they were able to build on that. Probably similar in the UK especially in Caribbean settlements. There is no deep racial animosity maybe on a class/economic level people may feel blacks should own more.
