Welcome
The best mazda diesel review ever in kenya ...you seem to know very well what you talking about ...keep up...
Thanks! 👍. We seek to present to you the best and well researched automotive content.
I have cx5 diesel, my car has had the recall with the new coolant bypass and had an engine replacement at 100 thousand km. I bought it at 117 thousand km and now its at 182 thousand km. So far its been running smoothly. I religiously only use premium diesel from good brands, I do 400km a week on a highway and I service it every 10 thousand km religiously. I also paid mazda to clean the intake manifold and EGR valve of carbon at 160 thousand km. So far I have had no issues, I'm hoping this car lasts a long time.
Its a good car once you learn how to live with. It will keep learning for quite sometime
This is the best review and advice on youtube and best part is it applies to africa. Mazda is actually the best car after all, Thank you for this insight...
I really enjoyed watching this video - the presentation was well-done. While I'm originally from Nigeria, I currently reside in Europe. From my perspective, the challenges one encounters can vary greatly depending on the country in which you live. If you apply the tips provided to a European country, you may be able to avoid many issues with your vehicle. Overall, I give a thumbs up to the content creator for their informative content. It's worth noting that factors like extreme temperatures, poor road conditions, and substandard workmanship can affect the performance of cars.
Thank you Olamide for your feedback. It's true different regions have different issues. In our area fuel quality is the biggest challenge that's why diesels become problematic here.
I know someone with a new CX5 I'll shine the light on them with this information. Good review brother. 🤝🏾
Best reviewer i have come to know. You are exceptional!
Also Allowing the car to properly warm up and also not to switching off the engine immediately especially after a hard drive for turbo and engine longevity
Yes. that's a good tip.
How long does it require to run the engine after a long trip for your engine to cool!
@@mansoormannix1753one to three minutes. Alternatively, you can get a turbo-timer.
the best review i have ever seen, well done brother. i have subscribed and liked and done all you have recommended 👊🏾👊🏾
Thank you for the kind words
One truthful and on point review and advice to mazda diesel owners and owners to be
Thanks. Once you follow these tips, your life becomes easy
Note also if the computer is trying to reginerate the dpf often it will add to much fuel and increase the oil level which when the X mark is crossed you have to change the oil.
Good insights
This brother really knows his stuff . Some brilliant tips here
Thanks for the feedback and welcome aboard
I have had Mazda cx5 diesel for three years and it has been smooth just regular servicing as scheduled
That’s a good review for someone who has used the car for 3 years. Power and fuel economy in one package. Must be religiously serviced.
I second you.
This is my 3rd year with the CX-5 diesel and I haven't experienced any problems. It has been a smooth drive all through. I ensure good servicing and never skip a service
@@tmbaru glad that you’re enjoying your car after 3 years.
Do you mind recommending a good service mech?
thanks for this comprehensive explanation and solution guide.
Welcome. Keeping you informed
You didn't tell them about Sky-D and oil dilution, respectively how important it is to change oil in a Sky-D every 6,000 km.
Great insights
Thanks.
You convinced me to get the petrol version.
Am from Uganda..amazing review 🤝thanks
Great analogy indeed!!
Thanks
good work. Perfect explanations.
Thanks.
Great video. Great insights.
Thanks for the feedback
Petrol version "They lack character on the road" LOOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣 . . . nice punch line. . . . its like a chick without nyash trying to twerk. 😎
Very true lam a victim of overheating on my 2.2 diesel cx5
thanks brother found the video helpful
Welcome
Hi I have a 2016 Mazda 2 1.5 DE model. The DPF light came on and the car went for a general service. Then a few days later the turbo blew. The turbo was reconditioned but the boost pressure was very low and the acceleration was not instantaneous it takes time to kick in. I need help with this problem also they did do a DPF delete but I am not sure if it was correctly done by a workshop currently the vehicle is at Mazda and they need the car to be brought back to stock without the DPF delete so I really am in need of any assistance. Thank you
Very good advice thank you sir
Amazing work brother
Thank you
Have you done a review on Mazda CX 5 2015-2026? Kindly I want to watch it because I'm on the process of buying either of the two models.
These tips here are applicable to any diesel engines btw. It's just that Mazda one caves in a bit quicker.
Correct. Especially on DPF issues.
Great video. Well explained.
Thanks
I have a very bad experience with overheating European Peugeot 206 and I am worried to buy another unreliable car that can't withstand the heat of Kisumu
Good review, Do you mind recommending a good service mechanic of what you have explained?

thanks bro. where can I get a ligit diesel filter for my Mazda 3
Good educative automotive content,....now please help those who own kina Nissan March na note on CVT transmission issues
The issue is failing to use correct CVT fluids and servicing the gearbox. We'll do a video on this.
Talk about Mazda Demio diesel 2014 ..currently in garage to replace head gasket for the 3rd time.. I am almost giving up on it
Is the cooling system sound?
What about fueling from 'reputable' stations? Examples if possible?
So far no issue with Total Diesel on a 2014 CX5
Brilliant sir
I gotta get myself one of these
You should
nice review..am seriously considering this machine.... in other news ...where is this video shot ? nice neighborhood
Thanks. This was shot in Kabarak, Nakuru.
Perfect sir!!
Thanks for the feedback
Thank you for the video.
How long should the long distance be minimum and how often should it be done?
i would that depends on temperature. For example if its winter -10 and your car needs 10km to be driven to reach just the normal engine temp it wont be the same when its summer with 35 celcius where in 5 mins idle the car reaches the desired temp to start cleaning the dpf. after temp is reached i would say the longer the trip the better with a minimum of 20km
Would you consider 30km on highway long distance, enough to regenerate the dpf? Or what is the minimum distance Recomended?
Yes if you can manage high rpms
Thanks. I do naivasha to limuru atleast once per week…. So I guess Iam safe? Had the car for 1 year now. Only done the junction pipe swap with the metallic one.
@@tmikefrancis That’s better. Diesels need long travels once in a while
As long as you maintain speeds of 100 or more
Do a DPF DELETE as soon as possible, save the turbo
In my country (Namibia) EGR, Dpf and Cat deletes are very common and legal. Will this help with the DPF issue? And is the DPF issue solved on later models?
Dpfs are there for later models because of environmental regulations.
@@0-60motoring. can the vehicle drive normally without the dpf and cat
@@leoncesanchez yes. Ut drives better. Remember the remapping ensures the system runs without dpf
Good review. 2.5 L AWD Petrol runs fine. All the costs to keep up with the diesel engines is no savings at all. Diesel is no longer cheap in Kenya.
2.5l runs fine and easy to live with though the 2.2l diesel has better fuel figures.
True, considering that the diesels have a higher purchase price in the beginning and overall higher maintenance costs...in the long run diesels end up costlier than petrols.
@@TheJoker-qn6vw Petrol CX5 are more expensive than diesels.
@@0-60motoring. Used CX5s… When new, diesel units more expensive
@@mxuo you're right.
Awesome review. Where can find one of those bypass junctions also drop your contacts will be in touch
Hello. reach out via 0790364599
What's the difference between the atenza diesel and CX5 diesel which one should I buy ?
Same engine but different tunes. If you frequent bad roads, CX5.
If budget is tight Atenza.
What's the price for a Mazda CX5 Diesel 2017 turbo
@@digitalmarketerken 2017 from 3.2M
Insightful
I have seen that my neighbour sold his after barely a year and bought a Toyota Vanguard
The mazda must have troubled him so much😀😀. Vanguard is very reliable .
100% CX5 AT HAND BRO
I think the problem here is people are treating the diesel engine like a petrol one .. Diesel engines are very sensitive
Correct
Failed to mention anything skyactiv technology
Please talk about Mazda CX 5 diesel 2500 cc, what to do
There’s no 2500cc diesel. 2.5l is a petrol.
Only 1 diesel variant: 2200cc
Isn't 2.2 most powerfull have 175 hp not 187
There is a turbocharged petrol 2500cc. The most potent of the CX5 and not the 2200cc diesel.
The turbopetrol started in 2019 in the second gen CX5.
For the first gen it's naturally aspirated. No turbo apart from the diesel
What amount to long distance?
The question is unclear.
Do you do dpf cleaning ...and if at how much..
Hello. We can link you to guys who do it. Ring 0790364599
@@0-60motoring. what happens if you completely remove the dpf and cat
Want peace of mind??? Stay away from diesel mazdas. PERIOD!!!!
Hehe, what are the best alternative that has power and fuel economy at the price point?
Buy petrol ones although they are a bit expensive
Have you ever owned a diesel Mazda? And if so, what was your experience with it?
Avoid I repeat avoid diesels if not for commercial use
Those who have already bought them must look for solutions.
I don't advise anyone to buy Mazda CX5 diesel
You have had one? What happened?
Why
@@augustinemandu319 it has a weak stock head gasket which causes overheating as a result of a blown head gasket
That has already been addressed in the video. The gasket gives up because there is a cooling anomally.
Very true. The car is rated euro6 while our diesel is said its euro 4 on paper but in reality its euro 1 or zero or even its on negative side. On that alone it will kill the engine.
Its like drinking dasani water n now you are drinking maji ya mtaro.
was the word bandwagon necesassary 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
