Someone that has a CX-5 2016 model, I really appreciate these type of videos. Thank you sir!
Great work mate. Level of detail is amazing hence the effort you put in these tutorials is so much appreciated. I remember I did a decoke on my Cx5 following one of your tutorials, and I ain't a mechanic. Got my driving license 3 years ago and did not know anything about cars before nor about engines at all. However, you make everything so accesibile even for newbies. Thanks for this great work. Where about are in UK are you based?
Thanks for your nice words. To be honest this isn't a detailed video at all. Or at least not as detailed as I want it to be. I wanted to record everything and make a proper tutorial of it so that anybody can do it at home. However, the car came only for carbon cleaning, but it was so badly clogged that when I cleaned it, I couldn't put a camera into the intake holes so I had to scrape the carbon with a screwdriver first to see which valves are open or closed and during that probably some of it may have dropped into the cylinder. Then I couldn't turn the engine over, that's why I had to take off the valve cover and I was shocked what I have seen. After that I contacted the owner and we decided to get it done properly. That is what you can see in the second part of the video. I may do a explanation video what happened and what I have done to make it clean and running again if people will be interested.
I am from East London/Essex.
Excellent job and well explained. Thank you
Fantastic definitely gives me more confidence to work on my own car :) Keep up the great work!
Привет.С отложениями в двигателе отлично справляется очиститель кухонных плит/духовок
Nice showing, there is a simpeler construction to remove most of all carbon out of the seperated inlet parts, and its very easy.
if you have a high pressure watercleaner with a milling head, you kan remove almoast everything out of the inletsprocket and parts.
the hard to remove cool you have to try with other tools, i not recommanded to heat the parts because of distortion from heat and not be able to a smooth fit anymore with probably fals air.
try for yourself 😊
The oil strainer comes with a small rubber O ring. But when I fit it to my oil pump with this O ring it doesnt mount on properly? Can you fit the strainer without the O ring to the oil pump?
Hi there, I have seen many videos reguarding this engine . I have a Mazda 6 with the gas 2.5 litre, I am so glad that I don"t live in the U.K. where they only sell these God awful 2.2 DIESELS , they are total crap, the sludge and carbon build up after just 90-100,00 miles is insane, and should have destroyed mazdas reputation for " HIGH RELIABILITY". Skyactive technology my ass ! Just check out Kennedy"s Garage (in Ireland) he has 4 videos on the extreme carbon build up on these Mazda diesels !
Incorrect the UK do have 2.0 and 2.5 petrols for sale. They are just not as common as the dreadful diesels
I'm in Ireland and drive a 1.8 petrol GH Maz 6.. True most are diesels here and in the UK. But there is still petrol models also to be found here. Diesel cars are generally cheaper to run in terms of road tax and fuel prices.. But in terms of maintenance and reliability... Petrol are better. I personally would never buy a diesel Mazda. I've seen and heard too many horror stories about them. My next car will probably be a Sky active G 2.0L petrol.
Diesels after september 2018 are fine, no more issues
what do you think about just deleting the EGR an blanking it up like they do on utes?? thinking of deleting the EGR and DPF on my 2014 mazda 6
Hello, how much does a complete engine cleaning cost and how long does it take? I have a Mazda 6, 2.2 diesel, 2014, and I'm dying to have it all done on the engine. The engine has traveled 200,000 km
Thanks
have you ever seen a mazda 6 2014 (gaz) with correct oil pressure in the base of the motor but oil missing at valve lifters on the intake side only. Lifter not charging correctly with oil on intake size. motor clicking when runing.
Great job and good video. Thanks
Thanks 😉
Has this car ever been serviced?
Good job! I’m sort of cuckoo in an eagle’s nest…I drive VW Jetta TDI and I was surprised to see everything under valve cover so dirty…? How come? My engine is absolutly clean in that area. Guy does’t change motor oil or what?
Also you skipped cleaning the head intake ports…!?
But this Mazda would be my choice of a car if I lived in Europe.
I cleaned the ports as well ;)
The first owner abided the long oil change intervals and also the injector washers were worn if I remember correctly.
Köszönjük!
Its hard to even get a trade in on anything with the 2.2L skyactiv now. Dealers don't want the hassle and the private seller market in my country is flooded with people trying to get rid of them. Terrible engine even when it's looked after properly.
nagyon köszönöm
I have a Mazda 6 2.2 diesel 2014 . I pour antifreeze into the needle, tell me what could be the problem?
how many miles has that car?
how do you re aline the balance shaft if it move when moving the strainer
Great video! What kind of price would this service be? I have a 2014 mazda 6 2.2d, and I believe my carbon build up is quite bad!

Brilliant job!!!

I have my link in the description in my recent videos. ;)
How much does this cost for this kind of job? I have got same one and have p2262 code, not sure why.
Thanks
You are welcome ;)
i just bought mazda 6 2.2 skyactive diesel 2017. after removing the oil cap there is loads of tar. is that due to lack of oil change?
Probably yes, and very likely you have bad injector seals as well.
Hey,
Very useful video.
I've sent you a message privately on FB, my initials are AW.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks.
Hi Thankyou for sharing your knowledge , it would be useful to know if you could give the mileage of this vehicle please and has it been maintained in the Mazda service schedule times as that looks like a car that has never been serviced ? Kind regards tim
Hi, I can assure you that every 2.2 skyactiv looks like this after around 50k miles. I mean the carbon buildup in the intake manifold. The oil sludge underneath the valve cover is from a worn injector washer, diesel in oil and late oil changes.
@@MrNiceGuy94 ok Thankyou for that info , I haven’t had any experience on these yet , but may I ask I have a new customer who changed his oil and filter and within 20min of driving the oil level has increased from normal to the x I think this means to change oil ? What could cause this ? Diesel in oil if so why ? Cheers for your cool videos . Tim
@@tmautosstaustellcornwall5882 frequent and/or failed regens resulting the fuel ending up in the oil. also can be because of leaking/failed injectors.
@@MrNiceGuy94 ok are check the DPF sensor readings and any fault codes in ecu and the injector seals , thanks for the messages .
Great job 😊 How much does it cost this type of service ? Thanks

Hello and I respect you to do this operation we need to remove the battery?
I want to give it a clog cleaning as well
after this operation you had to put the device to the test to cancel the witnesses?
Hello. Yes you need to remove the battery. Unfortunately I don't understand the second part of the question. Could ask it a different way? Or Ask the question in your language and I will get it translated.
how much would one need to pay roughly for this job?
Wow, that is pretty grim in the head - how the hell did it get so bad - no oil changes? Useful to have some helpers rather than wrestling with those stubborn fixings 😁
Late or no oil changes and also leaking injector seals.
Helpers are always welcome 😜
@@MrNiceGuy94have u ever chamhed an onjector ? Of so what diagnostic did ypu use to code it ? Thanks
Where can I find a new map sensor
Hi, @MRNiceGuy where did you buy those car ramps
Costco
Hey I have a question how much do you think all this work done costed to do because I have the same exact issue
how much did it end up costing and how many miles/km does your car have?
Mazda rough price 4 injectors ,brackets and washers with nuts 4k euro ,EGR replacement and full de carbon another 3k 🤠
in which country?
Ireland@@MrNiceGuy94
wow, that's a lot by any means...
I paid £105 for a complete set of necessary gaskets for egr clean from main dealer.
just for the gaskets?
It's cost me £750 for a carbon clean from the main dealership
@@Mrisraeli Just out of curiosity, how did they clean it? Did they walnut blast it or used any other method? Did they clean the EGR system the manifold and the intake ports as well?
@MrNiceGuy94 Yeah, they used crushed walnuts. Did oil and filter. Labour was 330 the rest was all the new parts they fitted. Not sure why they couldn't use the old ones.
The egr cooler was apparently full of carbon deposits so they had to replace rhat as well. Cost 1400 in total.
Hi I need help mine has only done 53 000 miles and just shut down on me on the motorway saying oil pressure then seased the engine is this all due to carbon build up
partly yes.
What kind of help would you need?

How did you get the broken part of the sensor out?
Remove the intake manifold and press it out from the other side.
Hello, I just wonder where are you from ? I guess my Mazda could use some fixing :)
I based in the UK. 😉✋
Hi can i ask you do you know whst is the tightening torque for 4 bolts on water pump housing
Hi, unfortunately I don't know. What size bolts they are?
For the water pump itself it is 9 - 12Nm and for the housing that holds the actual waterpump/thermostat etc. 44 - 54Nm tighten top bolt nearest to water pump wheel first then diagonally across followed by top opposite and finally bottom closest to waterpump

Hi where about in the uk u based ?
Hi,East London/Essex.
Would a engine flush help clean Carbon from the oil strainer?
Hello, I dont think so. And even if it did, it would get clogged again as the debris or whatever blocked it in the first place would get back there.
this engine is garbage i had a 2016 model so many problems from intake to egr to vacum pump turbo and so on cost me a fortune a still after all those fixes the engine failed at just 200k km
oil is cheap, the engine is very expensive so change your oil sooner dont follow manufactures recommendation
I recommend every 6k miles or every year, whichever comes first.
thats never had an oil change
it had, believe me..
Open heart surgery 😮
