I like how Kosem's character is portrayed strong already when she doesn't even have a child with the Sultan. When the Sultan told him he doesn't want to see her again, she didn't argue back, she just left silently, this is something I didn't see in hurrem sultan's story.
I love how cool headed kosem is. She is so smart and patient. She’s not impulsive nor does she get triggered so easily. She controls her tongue and actions. That’s what I love about her compared to hurrem sultan who was quite rash.
For me the actor who plays the Sultan doesn’t cut it ,he has a weak presence no authority , when Sulleyman appeared his glance his appearance his voicewas super authority to both women and men.
Well, Ahmed I wasn’t necessarily the most outstanding sultan during the Ottoman era. Suleyman had more authority and is literally called “The Magnificent”. I don’t understand the point of constantly comparing these shows when they’re simply based off of historical events? Of course, the dramatization in the first serial was so much more intense and that’s why I typically prefer it more than this one. Plus, the story’s main focus is on Kösem, not exactly Ahmed or the other characters.
kosem sultan told everything about fahriye. hurrem sultan had such opportunities many times but she did not as she still respected the sisters. I wish hurrem sultan was like kosem sultan.

Hurrems wasn’t realistic either. Women don’t scream non stop the minute labor starts or faint every time they are pregnant. That always made me laugh. But I get what you are saying. 😊

It’s gaslighting. She was kidnapped, enslaved, assaulted she saw murder, they killed her dad, he slept with other women after she risked her life for him and he’s like “you are not innocent anymore. I don’t want you.” Nobody would take this amount of pain and not turn mad. He’s the root cause of everything that happened to her.

I think he was not 26 years old whe he died coz as what we saw here, he died when his 2 sons Osman and Mehmet was an adult or nearly adult and they have like 6 children with kosem.
@@mjmaty4779 yeah i actually just read it today and yes he died at the age of 27 but god he had like 23 children😅 and most of his children was with kosem.

Sultan Ahmet's mother and her empty threats😐. If it is not enough....she can't even keep others secret safe. Also using those secret to keep herself safe.
For me, sultan mehmet is a very difficult and complicated character and the actor ekin koc, is a superb actor and doing a very good job, without falling into the trap of clichee choices.

1:22:38 kosem sultan well said to mahfiruze hatun. Mustafa had a verydeserved ending in episode 123 and so selim ascended and not mahidevran but hurrem sultan was valide sultan. That's because hurrem sultan was stronger than mahidevran hatun.
The casting of young versus old Kosem feels jarring, with the transition from a fiery blond to a character marked by a deadened demeanor and cold attitude. This dynamic creates a disconnect, as the portrayal seems oblivious to the complexities of human emotions. It raises questions about the effectiveness of the performances and the storytelling choices, leaving the viewer to ponder the emotional depth behind such stark contrasts.

Dang, it’s Ahmeds fault that Hosems innocence has withered away, and he gets mad at her for it and doesn’t want to see her anymore? Yikes 😊
The Sultan's mother is the weakest of them all. She unable to take necessary precautions for her loved ones. She just keeps issuing empty threats.

It's depends on sultan caharacter based on history. Sulaiman is magnificient. Ahmed is hamble and mercyfull
The characters are two different people, at two separate ages in their lives, the actor is obviously acting according to his character
