    Just watched you're deture round the diversion in the lanes of Wales. Good driving, shows what a professional driver you are 🎉

    At least you didn't have to wait long mate and you was back on the road in no time and made it home, as you say winner 👍.

    Loved watching that trip down to Trowbridge. I retired over twelve years ago after thirty years on artics, and did that trip many many times, (then across to Westbury, Warminster and Taunton). great to travel part of it again, cheers mate!

    I knew it was going to be that yard, seen you go to that one before. Bad luck with the break down but good quick service from that firm at least got you back home the same day. Those brake chambers can be lethal if not handled right as they are under immense pressure. I know you said you didn't want to get in the guy's way to film him but that was an excellent call because you need to be out of the way in case something went wrong and it flew off. I was surprised to see him sliding under the side rails though instead of just opening them up to make it easier, that's an actual tip there if you haven't had the things open recently make sure they get a bit of maintenance spray or oil that way if you do need to open them they won't have seized up. All the best.

      Your right though there’s a hell of about of pressure on some of the parts, if they go you don’t want to be near it.

    At least you managed to get it back, before your driving time was up, or you would’ve had to kip in the truck. There’s nothing worse when you’re doing well on a run, to encounter a break down that throws everything out the window. You end up chasing your tail, trying to get it finished. The main thing is you made it back, it was lucky it happened in a yard, and not out on the road. Have a good one buddy, and get them shades😎👍🏻

    Hello Darren... Question for you and drivers in the comments... Working time related not driving time....If you started at 6am and finish at 4pm and had 15 minutes rest at 10am would you then have to have a break at midday as that is 6 hours wtd, or is it 30 minutes by 3pm as it's 9 hours and 45 minutes by 4pm as that's 10 hours... Obviously if you do 4 and half hours driving and have 45 break it resets it... Seems to be some confusion over the 6 hours wtd rule with some drivers I speak too..

    Darren lucky you didn't get stuck in A traffic Jam

    Definitely not a criticism, just a suggestion. You should always have the ratchets on the passenger side of the trailer. That keeps you as the driver safe and out of traffic if you ever need to stop on the side of the road to re tension the straps. Truly enjoyed this vlog and all the others too. Stay safe out there with all the crazies on the roads.

    Do you have a truck wash account

    • @Life_of_Darren
      @Life_of_Darren  8 часов назад

      Unfortunately not, we do have a guy that comes to the yard every 2 week and gives them a wash, unfortunately this time of year they get covered in all the salt and dirt with in a day
