I'm conservative and my family and I are boycotting everything Disney. We cancelled Disney+, we don't visit any Disney content at the theater, don't visit the parks. No Disney merch or toys. I found most of the old stuff that's good at local 2nd hand DVD stores. We don't even stream Disney content less some of those funds find their way back to Disney.

Same, although I don't have any family to speak of, so it's just me. As long as Iger is at the helm, Disney won't get one cent from me. If that situation changes, I'll reevaluate... but even then, it's going to take more than talk to win me over.
Yeah, it takes something special to take a well known and well liked company with a 100 year history, and make me hate them. Iger will probably be remembered as the guy that killed Disney and Hollywood.

When my kids were preteens and teens and we had to go to Orlando for a wedding, we took them to NASA at Cape Canaveral instead of Disney. Not only was it far less costly, but they enjoyed the learning experience.

As a Florida conservative who used to spend thousands every year on trips yearly we refuse to go since they came out against me and my family. All of our trips and money are now spent at non-Disney parks and attractions around the state. I look forward to their move into obscurity and there is no way Republicans are going back in any meaningful numbers. They did this to themselves, I hated to see it, but it had to happen.

I'm in the liberal camp that has now been shoved into the conservative camp because of the activist left's insatiable tilt to the extreme.
Even before that tilt, I didn't really enjoy interacting with companies or individuals whose politics were all too apparent, even if I agreed with them. I don't enjoy having that aspect of my life injected into EVERY aspect of life. Not to be crude, but there are certainly bodily functions that while necessary, don't really enhance life by embracing them at every opportunity.
Politics even more so.
Entertainment industry, get back to entertaining. Whatever your industry, do your job when you're at work. Poor performance doesn't do you or anyone any good.

The other problem with Disney, here in Florida, is that they have priced themselves out of the Florida market. A lot of the Orlando tourist bucks are being spent elsewhere and at other parks. Every time Disney had a financial problem, and they need a few bucks, they just increase the ticket prices. Disney/Reddy Creek is just over the county line from Polk County, the largest and quickest-growing county in the Country. People are jamming Universal, Sea World, and Tampa area parks like Busch Gardens, simply because it's cheaper to go there.
Busch had the Dylan thing, but people forgot moved on. Maybe they will be smart and fix up,the park, last time I was there it was a dump.
@@nancy9478 Yes. You're not wrong on that. After Auggie Busch sold Budwieser to a the Dutch company, I think the parks were vested off and funding has been questionable. That, along with all the issues with the parks after the documentary Black Fish( or whatever it was called) came out, they had a lot of PR issues to deal with even prior to the Political correctness got started.

People keep using the loosing 50% by taking a political position. My analysis seems to indicate to me only 30% on either side are willing to support any position without taking into account the actual merits of the position (aka total support for anything the 'party' supports). It is the 40% in the middle who are will look at the merits and decide on a policy or position then vote or take a position on it. It is this 40% that is the critical number who seem to have real power to swing weather a corporation is going to succeed or fail, and the same for a political candidate. Pandering to their 30% isn't going to help, also giving money to candidates who are in the opposing party won't help either due to having already poisoning the well with agenda. As an investor, the last thing I wanted was for Disney to choose any political or social sides. That never works well for ANY business.
Now 20-30% (my guestimate) of DIS customers (parents) no longer view Disney as a family-friendly/safe entertainment company anymore. Ouch. That represents a lot of kids/grandkids that made up Disney's future business, potentially gone.
DIS stock went down and I sold all my DIS stock fairly early in this debacle. DIS stock has gone down to about half value since then and hasn't recovered. I cringe when people suggest DIS stock is a good investment today, relying on DIS historical chart performance. Those customers are gone.
I'd say no to Disney still considering they pulled that land belongs to the crown BS. Tell them to pound sand and go ask the crown for some help.

Our entire multigenerational family are boycotting everything Disney. We were avid Disney fans for many years when Walt ran the company. During that time Disney stood for wholesome moral family values and patriotism! Ever since Walt’s death, the company has been going in an opposite and disgusting direction. Until the Walt Disney values are embraced and promoted again as corporate policy no one in our large extended family will be continuing all things Disney.
As a Florida native I’ve been to the Magic Kingdom over 50 times but I have not returned since this shit started. As long as men with beards are dressed as a princess or tinkerbell is black I won’t be back.
