The reason for the "Em was a gamble" line is because MOST people didn't view Em as a "speed spitter" at the time that they recorded this. Unbeknown to MOST people, both in the business and out of it, Em was speed spitting almost his entire career in one way or the other. Mostly in 1/2 verses, and NOT quite as fast as he did he were "double lines" per beat. But Em had the skills the entire time....only it wasn't really his "lane" as a rapper overall.
Which, ironically, should have been clearly obvious seeing how Em has been in the Guinness Book of World Records for spitting the fastest verses (words per second) TWICE.... Once for Rap God, and again for Godzilla. And yet, it EM is STILL seen as not being a "speed spitter" even though he's been doing it for years on almost every release for the last 3-4 albums.
From tech's interview, it was actually a gamble because they didn't think Eminem would have the time, or agree to do it.

I Think em added an effect to make his voice do that on that part, and sped up his voice on that part of the track. It kinda sounds obvious to me on that Part idk.
