Hi, I basically agree with your advices (not ranked by priority) except .. Disagreed: nb 1 ! I find it very useful to play occasionally with lower level players, even when progressing myself, for 2 reasons, 1) I help them play against slightly better players, 2) I play with purpose, choosing 1, ideally 2, aspects on which I will not try and hit winners, but will concentrate on doing it well. This helps practicing and progressing on specific aspects, and it's something you can not afford when playing against better or equal players. Strongly agreed: nb 2 ! Do start with lessons if possible, especially if you come from other racket games. Otherwise, you will transpose your habits from squash, tennis or badminton, and then it will be all the more complicated to deconstruct them. Typical example: learn straight away to play will glasses for tennis players!
Hey :) - great points! I think both playing with better players and lower level players can work. One thing to avoid is to play with the same players over and over again
