I am still torn! I brought both to work with me thinking I would ship one back at the end of the day. But I just keep looking over at them and wondering which to choose!
@@jeffgrantMEDIA IMO, I’d go with the Gauntlet since you’re going to be in the RLR. I’ve seen pics of that one faded out and it looks amazing. Lots of work to get there though.
I am leaning toward the Gauntlet. Cade (half of Selvage_Cowboy) took second place last year with one last year, and it looked awesome! I think the heavier weight will produce better fades over time.... but that lighter weight is very appealing for starting in June. 22.5ox will be HOT starting in the summer.....These are great jackets, it's to hard to choose!
Yeah, I saw Cade’s fades and they were pretty epic. Really interesting to hear that the Gauntlet isn’t as stiff as the Uppercut. Which one was harder to button / unbutton?
@@damionberv5074 the upper cut was overall harder to unbutton. But that is because it was stiffer. The bottom button of the Gauntlet was the hardest button to undo though. But I feel like a good hour-hour and a half soak in the Uppercut, and it will soften up a ton. But even my 5-year-old could tell to the touch the Gauntlet felt better right out of the box.
Hi looking to purchase one of these jackets. You went for the large. What size chest are you ? As living in the UK returns will be a nightmare if I get the wrong size 😊
It all depends on your chest size and shoulder width. I am personally big chested. So even when I am like 165, a large might still be my size. Get you measurements and check the size chart. Off hand I would say you are probably a medium. But I would check your measurements to make sure.
These are both heavier weight denim. Which Brave Star cuts long intentionally because they shrink a bit more than the 14oz denim will. Aftet I get some wear and sweat in my jacket, I’ll wash it and see how much shrinkage I will actually get. Stay tuned for reports. I will do full measurements and log them before I wear, before I wash and after.
I always seem to forget this, I am 5'9" 175-180lbs.
What's your wingspan? Chest circumference and shoulder width?
@@Grandmasterkiller 42.6 chest just under 19” back.
Great video, man. This video helped me out tremendously with sizing.
@@Mnevseravno-j6v I’m half my rambling video helpful! And thanks for watching.
I went with the Uppercut. Should be here next week. Looking forward to your decision.

I am a 42.5” chest. I have a large in my Golden Handshake. And that fits great once it broke in and loosened up.
👍
@@jeffgrantMEDIAHi bro what is your weight?

they look too long in the body ..shrinkage might help ...i like them at least 2 inches shorter in the body

22oz Gauntlet Best ❤
The Gauntlet is the route I went. It is sitting, waiting, to be worn this June! I can only hope to get half the fades Cade got out of his Gauntlet.
Good luck!
Thank you! Tune into see my fade journey!
