I remember this from the early 1980's in Leeds. I had brought the album back then, a much treasured thing it was too. Of all the track of all the songs, this one for me was in a league of it's own. The composition was wonderful in and of its own right, but the politics behind it and the words well ... they are as enduring now as they were then. For me at least The Real Thing is The Real Thing.

Stanhope street here sounds more a mellow isleys that lady. The original is funky as hell.
