Hi, I'm Jack Thaidashian, one of the Thaidashians. The world's most dramatic Thai-American family. By subscribing, you'll always be a part of the drama lol...
I got one too, you have to up the amps on the charger. The default is 6 amps, but you can up it to 12 amps. There are videos of how to do this, its as simple as pressing a button tbh. I was shocked too, now it does it in half the time. You can also call your electric company and many are willing to pay for the installation of a level 2 charger as long as you charge in off peak hours.
I absolutely love my EV9, I've driven Rivians, Teslas, and the Kia EV9 is so much better I am shocked.
I've driven Teslas as well, not Rivians, and agree the Kia EV9 drives better than a Tesla in my opinion because it feels like a traditional gas car, just all electric, whereas the Tesla started as an electric car and drives a little weird. That's interesting to hear about the amps, will have to see about upping it! Is there like a max amps that can get it done in even less time or do you risk burning your house down? LOL
@Thaidashians lol that is a question for an electrician, but the level 1 charger maxes out at 12 amps. Here is the video I watched to figure out the charging speed boost

@@JeremyLloyd I pressed the buttons and upped it from 6 to 12 amps! Thank you so much!
@@JeremyLloyd great video!

Cool !!
Thank you!
You really bought this vehicle and didn’t know how long it would take for a 115v wall plug to charge the vehicle?
@@uncles2000 yup lol
@@JackThaidashian legendary
@@uncles2000 😂 thanks 🥹
Level 1 is usually 3-4 miles per hour. There's a box that takes 2 110V outlets and combine them to 220V for this instance to speed up charging to 5-8 miles/hour so overnight you could of recovered 60 miles and 3-4 nights would of gotten you 180-240 miles to get you down the road.
