- As a child, I would almost never hear the phrase “Abrahamic Covenant”. Today it is something we hear about all of the time. Perhaps that is because of the increased focus on the gathering of Israel which ties back to the Abrahamic Covenant, or perhaps it is the focus on “The Covenant Path” which is tied directly with the Abrahamic Covenant. Regardless of the reason for its greater prominence these days, it is a very good thing because the Abrahamic Covenant is one of the most important doctrines we need to understand in our journey to become like the Savior and return to live with our Heavenly Father. As Latter-day Saints, we have an enormous advantage over other religions in the understanding of the Abrahamic Covenant. This video helps describe what the Abrahamic Covenant is and the blessings that can come from it. But more importantly it describes the relationship between the Covenant and the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
I learned about the Abrahamic Covenant by remembering 6 P’s - Priesthood, Posterity, Property, Prosperity, Protection and Peace. I really enjoy your videos, I always learn so much. Thank You!

Such a great lesson! I have loved learning more about the covenant path and belonging to covenant Israel ever since President Nelson issued his invitation to learn more. His recent devotional to young adults where he talks about his identity as a child of the covenant has so much more meaning to me now. Thanks for this!
My "PB" tells me to STUDY this covenant.. after years of searching.. I think I'm still learning different aspects of it.. it's like an onion!!
Alma 48:15&16 gives us some context about the "prosperity" we are promised by the Lord. It lists:
- warning us to flee danger;
- warning us to prepare for war;
- where to go to defend ourselves;
- how to be delivered from dangers.
It doesn't mention or imply temporal wealth.
In other places the scriptures are clear that the "prosperity" that God promises us for keeping the commandments is enjoying "the presence of the Lord" - cf:
2 Neph 1:20
2 Neph 4:4
Alma 9:13-14
Alma 36:30
Alma 37:13
Alma 38:1
Alma 50:20
Hel 12:21
I think we need to re-focus our expectations of the "prosperity" God promises us for being faithful to him, and consider the phrase "rest of the Lord" in Alma 13&14, D&C 84, and Ether 3.

Seems that "the promised land" in our days is the "mountain of the Lord's House, meaning Zion" or the stake or district organization where we belong. It is on this "promised land" we are promised to find safety from the world, and it is in Zion, or in our stakes, where we will "stand in holy places"; we may even say that we "stand in holy places" wherever we go as long as we are worthy and faithful!
I love the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. I know the of Mormon is true and is truly the the book of living water.

Now is where my word, is to be honored…
For it is Righteous and True…
Where there is sin, thus what is against my word…
There will be death…
For this death is eternal, with no end…
This death I speak of, is separation from me and all that I have…
For this death is not of flesh and blood, but what is spiritual,for this is death from me…
So in this is their free will,
to choose; Righteous or Lawlessness…
The choice is theirs…
I will honor their choice, for it is theirs to make…
So not by me or my will, is their destiny set…
I can only give spiritual guidance, for there are laws you know not of; Thus my word…
For it was given in hope they would chose to love me, without seeing me…

Very interesting video. I do have an honest question. What happens to people who do not marry in the temple in this life? Whether its because of anxieties, depression, other mental health issues, being gay, lesbian or bisexual? Or civilly married only? What happens to them with the promises of exaltation?
No one who has the desire to follow and keep all the commandments will be denied any blessing in the next life. That's why we do proxy ordinances.

Isn't celestial marriage plural marriage? It's a greater sacrifice for a greater kingdom for few are those that enter into the gate. Few of the entire world not, few of the LDS.
No. Celestial marriage may be monogamous or polygamous. For most people, this will be a monogamous relationship as polygamous relationships have rarely been allowed by God throughout history.
no. Some people have been specifically ordered to have plural marriage, that doesn’t make it the standard though
# ask a priest : Why did God choose to hurt the private part of men (which is embarrassing ) as the sign of covenant instead of other parts of the body? Please do not answer that's for salvation, that's missing the point. The question is: why that sensitive and taboo private parts while there are fingers, forehead, shoulders, chests many parts else to make a mark?
