I love the arm lock... I'll definitely be using that. As you said, I have thick thighs and wear a size 12 boot and it takes a lot of finagling to get my leg over the rung and then my foot hooked on the lower rung. Then it is next to impossible to get my foot unhooked and out especially with an extension ladder and having the rope in the way. I'm grateful for another firefighter on the ladder below me so they can push my boot and help me get out of the leg lock... sucks.

Brother I appreciate you for the knowledge you’re passing on!!!
Thank you. The traditional leg lock kills my knee and is very hard to get into. I'll be using Hill and the arm lock
Great! Virtually impossible to lock in the old way. Gear is to cumbersome.
Thank you very much for sharing!
Very Good Sir
Most of the time we dont have to leg lock if the angle of the ladder is proper for rescue.
My mans wife is probably not very happy... him destroying the windows and all

First, no he didn't. He simply shifted his weight.
Second, you're an ignorant dickhead.
Third, your parents didn't beat you enough as a child.
