If they want people around the world to watch the Super Bowl, have BP at halftime. It would be very interesting to see what the worldwide viewer numbers would be. I’m a 54 year old American male metal head and been a fan of Blackpink since the day they debuted over 7 years ago. Seen them live in concert twice. They have a lot of great songs, great videos, great live performances, great solo performances and great collaborations. Yes, they are k-pop but they’re more edgy and aggressive than typical k-pop. Some of their big hits are this one, Kill This Love, Pink Venom, How You Like That among many many others. You probably know How You Like That and didn’t know it was these girls. 3 years in to their start there was a documentary on Netflix about them called Light Up The Sky.
Glad to see I am not the only one from our generation to stan Blackpink. I am 49 from Germany, grew up with American and British rock and German Punk, Goth and EBM, but Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé were a Revelation to me. Their voices, skills and badass entrances immediately captivated me. I'm a bit late to the party though and have never seen them perform live.
@@TagmMixalis Yeah I’ve always thought it’s weird that more people our age, especially men, are so resistant. I’m like, “Are you nuts?! Look at them. They’re not just talented, they’re multi-talented. They look like models, sing like they’re singers, dance like they’re dancers, rap like they’re rappers, they speak multiple languages…and on top of all that they’re nice people (at least that’s how they come across).” And as a male how can you not like watching them? Beautiful girls dancing and dressing in ways that are sexy but not raunchy, lithe bodies showing their athleticism and talent, beautiful faces, angelic voices. What’s not too like? They’re basically perfection to a male. Something any red blooded heterosexual male should love. Plus most of their music is pretty aggressive and even ones that are less aggressive are very catchy. Surprisingly a lot of metal heads are fans (at least on the internet). I personally think it’d because they’re both high energy music. I call rock/metal “high energy dark” and k-pop like Blackpink “high energy light”. Metal is more angry and negative most of the time. Blackpink is more happy and positive most of the time. But they’re both high energy music. They even tour with a live rock band for gosh sake. Anyway we’ll keep rocking Blackpink with our bad selves. 😃👍 At least shows that we’re not dying or dead being stuck in the past and/or having a lack of passion. I would definitely see them live if you get the opportunity. Concerts were both fantastic. They were pricey though. Both times it was over $200/ticket for the nosebleed seats. 4 years ago I was like “When am I ever going to get the opportunity to see them live again in the U.S.?!” So had to go. Second time I had to go because the first one was so good. Also glad to hear there are others out there as well. I’ve been promoting them to people I know for years. Mostly to deaf ears. And then now they have all their huge numbers and list of major accomplishments like being the biggest artist on RUclips of any genre and now I’m like…”Hmmmpp…seeee…told you so.” 😂 So glad they have more coming out and didn’t break up. Maybe they’ll still actually catch on in the mainstream in our worlds. Despite not being “mainstream” they still sell out stadiums here anyway. 🤷♂️

If you are looking for there #1, every song they touched is a hit. only the songs with MV - Music Videos are promoted and get views, but the B sides I feel are better than those with MVs. Pretty Savage was aired on the Late Late Show with James Corden, The song, Ddu Du Ddu Du or D4 for short was played on Good Morning America and Pink Venom was performed LIVE at the 2022 MTV VMA where they won Best Metaverse Performance and Lisa (one of the rappers) won best KPOP artist. Total Blackpink fan and I started listening at 46 y/o (I'm 50). I love "Whistle" "Boombayah" and "How you like that". I know the YT channel "Korean Englishman" was invited to a dinner with King Charles and they seated them with Blackpink. I think it was Jisoo (maybe Rose?) who doesn't speak much English was very excited to see Josh, his Korean wife Gabbie, and Ollie there so she had other Korean speakers near her. Jisoo does understand English, but she's not as comfortable speaking it. The others all speak fluent English. I love 'Korean Englishman' & watching their video about their experience at Buckingham Palace sitting next to BlackPink was so fun to watch.

I’m a 54 year old American male metal head and been a fan of Blackpink since the day they debuted over 7 years ago. Seen them live in concert twice. They have a lot of great songs, great videos, great live performances, great solo performances and great collaborations. Yes, they are k-pop but they’re more edgy and aggressive than typical k-pop.
Some of their big hits are this one, Kill This Love, Pink Venom, How You Like That among many many others. You probably know How You Like That and didn’t know it was these girls.
3 years in to their start there was a documentary on Netflix about them called Light Up The Sky.

Glad to see I am not the only one from our generation to stan Blackpink. I am 49 from Germany, grew up with American and British rock and German Punk, Goth and EBM, but Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé were a Revelation to me. Their voices, skills and badass entrances immediately captivated me. I'm a bit late to the party though and have never seen them perform live.

They’re not just talented, they’re multi-talented. They look like models, sing like they’re singers, dance like they’re dancers, rap like they’re rappers, they speak multiple languages…and on top of all that they’re nice people (at least that’s how they come across).”
And as a male how can you not like watching them? Beautiful girls dancing and dressing in ways that are sexy but not raunchy, lithe bodies showing their athleticism and talent, beautiful faces, angelic voices. What’s not too like? They’re basically perfection to a male. Something any red blooded heterosexual male should love.
Plus most of their music is pretty aggressive and even ones that are less aggressive are very catchy.
Surprisingly a lot of metal heads are fans (at least on the internet). I personally think it’d because they’re both high energy music. I call rock/metal “high energy dark” and k-pop like Blackpink “high energy light”. Metal is more angry and negative most of the time. Blackpink is more happy and positive most of the time. But they’re both high energy music. They even tour with a live rock band for gosh sake.
Anyway we’ll keep rocking Blackpink with our bad selves. 😃👍 At least shows that we’re not dying or dead being stuck in the past and/or having a lack of passion.
I would definitely see them live if you get the opportunity. Concerts were both fantastic. They were pricey though. Both times it was over $200/ticket for the nosebleed seats. 4 years ago I was like “When am I ever going to get the opportunity to see them live again in the U.S.?!” So had to go. Second time I had to go because the first one was so good.
Also glad to hear there are others out there as well. I’ve been promoting them to people I know for years. Mostly to deaf ears. And then now they have all their huge numbers and list of major accomplishments like being the biggest artist on RUclips of any genre and now I’m like…”Hmmmpp…seeee…told you so.” 😂
So glad they have more coming out and didn’t break up. Maybe they’ll still actually catch on in the mainstream in our worlds. Despite not being “mainstream” they still sell out stadiums here anyway. 🤷♂️

BLACKPINK's creativity has ramped up with each successive video, their "badge of honor" is that they use no green screen, all practical sets, props and effects. There's also a "MAKING OF" available for all of their videos so you can see the cameras, sets and filming.

I know the YT channel "Korean Englishman" was invited to a dinner with King Charles and they seated them with Blackpink. I think it was Jisoo (maybe Rose?) who doesn't speak much English was very excited to see Josh, his Korean wife Gabbie, and Ollie there so she had other Korean speakers near her.
They all have solo albums out as well. Jisoo's "Flower" has accompanying choreography that was a tiktok trend for a bit. I'd love to see you try it!😁

Jisoo does understand English, but she's not as comfortable speaking it. The others all speak fluent English. I love 'Korean Englishman' & watching their video about their experience at Buckingham Palace sitting next to BlackPink was so fun to watch.
