  • This session will walk you through GCP VPC unique operational advantages for your enterprise cloud deployments. Moving deployments to public cloud has traditionally required network and security admins to stitch regional connectivity domains and contend with the sprawl of connectivity and policies created by different DevOps teams. Google VPC offers a unique global private connectivity domain that can be shared by your DevOps teams while still being controlled by centralized policies -- all while being easy to control and audit. In this session, we will go through detailed use cases, how to seal and audit your VPC, how to extend your VPC to on-prem in hybrid scenarios, and how to deploy highly available services.

    One of the best high level presentations I've heard! Thank you. With Next being cancelled I'm going back to these great sessions.

    That’s a great talk, overview and someway details enough for enterprise architecture for decisions & direction

    The content slides should be a little specific to what you're speaking to. But for the most part it was on target

    Video should stay longer on slides than on person.
    Regarding content, it seems good but i would personally not throw too many terms (no need to say IP in RFC1918 etc..i would simplify that as private IP) and let audience relate and learn something to take home and really try. I would have a session on VPC and then another (totally different) session on how to use IP address in a VPC say on VM, GKE and App Engine etc.

      Bang on comment. This session was good but people with basic understanding will be having hard time in getting this. Too much unnecessary lingo used.

    4:18 "Network traffic gets encrypted when it crossess boundary of Google-operated infrastructure" - Does it mean tenant's network packets fly unencrypted inside Google?

    • @komalthecoolk
      @komalthecoolk 8 месяцев назад

      yes, but it is encapulated in their virtualization platform, and it would be hard to get a hold of that traffic unless you're suspecting GCP of eavesdropping on their customer's data.

    NO ENTIENDO NADA DEL INGLES , SORRY !!!! MI IDIOMA ES EL ESPAÑOL, país que hace 5 siglos dominaba en el mundo mas territorios que ningún país, antes, dominara o descubriera

      Hmmm no habia leido un comentario tan bobo y contradictorio desde hace decadas. Ni descubrieron, ni dominaron. Por eso estamos como estamos, por otro lado el inglés es el idioma predominante en estos temas, no saberlo o simplemente no utilizar herramientas para traducirlo es equivalente a ser analfabeta en otra lengua.
