The broncs are privately owned by a murdoch company, the eels are a leagues club owned team. The eels were part of the Sydney comp, the broncs were the only team from the 3rd biggest city in Aus. There really is no comparison Michael.

What about the Roosters & Storm with salary cap? Are they ever going to get talked about? How in the hell does Parra come up in that conversation before they do? I think it's time to get rid of the salary cap, it's not working & certain teams are monopolising the NRL for years now
The front office haven’t got two skills between them, completely incompetent and about to kill another coach, we had a Storm assistant in Arthur and he did nothing why will a Rookie be any different, a great management would of went after Bennett halfway through last year but we have a useless management

I think he’s referring too how both clubs have big fan bases and both underperforming with good rosters.
He's referring to their fan base saying if Parra get some success they'll be a powerhouse club with a huge amount of fans like the Broncos.
Signing Paulo and RCG to big money deals that went into their thirties was a mistake, they’ve clearly aged out and aren’t the players they once were

If I'm Ryles I would retain Moses and Gutherson and move on RCG and Paulo, both are past their prime and taking up a lot of money.
