      Thats likely because you are active and use the fat, and second you are likely not very insulin resistant and havent been for a long time.
      High carb/low fat for diabetes focuses on insulin resistance as a root cause and fixes the faulty endocrine mechanism that causes insulin resistance

    • @ananyah.v4084
      @ananyah.v4084 Год назад +2

      @@andhewonders u r not eating carbs , obviously ur insulin requirement goes down , least amount of insulin released for fat.
      LCHF/HCLF/CR all effective ways for losing weight , morbid obesity acts as independent factor for insulin resiatance.
      With weight reduction , u would improve insulin sensitivity.
      Saturated fats , hav shown to increase insulin resistance in number of studies.
      Not all types of saturated fats are bad , palmitic & steatric definitely bad.
      But when u consume SFA with mufa / pufa , pufa has protective role.
      HCLF , definitely difficult to allow n most complain hunger strikes , not effective weight loss.
      Early TRE has shown improved insulin sensitivity, compared to Late TRE.
      I think best way is low carb , high protein , high fat with pufa , not saturated fats , in this way there is reduction in ldl levels.
      Keep an eye on apo B / LDL levels when u r on keto.

    • @leviotten
      @leviotten Год назад +2

      not necessarily. You are probably managing your diabetes quite well. My guess is you exercise and eat fairly clean. You can eat clean on a keto diet. The problem lies with long-term damage done by high fat and to a lesser degree excessive protien intake. No food is free from consequence. This is why most cardiologists are switching to plant based diets beause they are functionally equivalent to all clean meat based diets, but also make you virtually immune to heart disease (the typical cause of mortality for diabetics).
      Try to keep it in mind that balance is good and avoiding processed food is also the way to go.

    So the carnivores that have been healed of diabetes are a fluke?

    • @Subarmale
      @Subarmale Год назад

      They haven't been healed. I say this genuinely with no malice, I'm not intetested in arguing. People who "heal" their diabetes through carnivore are not experiencing any symptoms but they are merely using a temporary patch. They haven't reversed their diabetes, because if they went back to eating normal foods their blood glucose would be worse than before. Carnivore is akin to holding your hand over the hole in a leaky bucket, instead of patching it. Carnivore people routinely fail the glucose tolerance test, a much better test than A1C to see how your body truly responds to carbs, not just how it has been doing. This guy in the video is on point, low fat diet (lean meats are okay, as are skim milk etc, this guy has a clear agenda against animal products) will reverse diabetes. Low fat diet reverses diabetes, lets you go back to eating normally after a month or so without having to slog out some boring monotonous diet. Its up to you, please research more

      In order to be cured of diabetes one must be able to eat carbs and not get high sugar levels in the blood for a long time after. Low carb people only manage diabetes, they do not cure it. Only low fat whole food vegan approach is able to reverse diabetes and long term health.

    I think you guys kind of oversimplify it too much. I agree in a huge reduction or elimination of animals in our diet. But fat and protein are bad? I wouldn't say that. Everything I eat in my diet is carbohydrates but 40% of it isn't carbohydrates. The first 20% is fat and the second 20% is protein. And these fats are the healthy fats such as MUFAs mostly, and the protein is from stuff such as soya.

    • @Abrahamos
      @Abrahamos Год назад

      @@jojouuxx GMOs are terrible indeed which is why we should try our utter best to minimise it. But if I had the choice between a GMO soya or a chicken. I'd still go with the former personally. But the scientific consensus on soya is that its phytoestrogenic capability does not pose really any harm, for an extreme minority of selective individuals it may, but for the vast majority of people it does not. In fact, phytoestrogens in soya (isoflavones) contribute healthy benefits in participants across many studies, normalising & optimising their hormonal health & reducing women's breast cancer in half. Soya is a high protein food, 500 grams of soya beats even 500 grams of eggs in protein, & the fats in soya are different from those of conventional meat proteins. They have more saturated fats, whilst soya has more Poly & Mono fats, in medical literature, these two fats are the healthiest fats for humans, the second being the most healthiest, MUFAs are in avocadoes, olive oil, Brazil nuts (which decrease one's LDL, bad, cholesterol far more effectively than that of a statin drug) these traits of soya are unique as a protein-based food, with fibre improving bowel movements & helping to regulate blood sugar & pressure, conventional meats don't even compare in comparison. As well, soya has an immense level of antioxidants, which meats do not compare with either.
      For digestion, our paleo ancestors ate more than 125+ grams of fibre, the vast majority of American society doesn't even consume a quarter of that amount, this suggests that humans ate a plant based diet in the past, but our guts began to change, fibre isn't problematic if you can train your gut to accept more healthy prebiotics.
      "Scientific consensus" people always use chatGPT to fact check people, you can copy my comment and send it to the A.I. and ask if I'm correct.

      In my diet: Carbs will be consumed naturally anyways because it's plant based. But I have a strong emphasis on healthy fats (MUFAs) & high protein plant foods. I consume more than 120 grams of healthy fat and protein every day, this helps to optimise my hormones & health. Fats are extremely important, low fat vegan diets need to be rethought, because avocadoes, nuts & seeds are extremely healthy, & these fats are necessary for optimal health.

The key is to eat a variety of healthy foods, meat, fish vegetables and fruits and moderate amounts of whole grains if you're not too sensitive to lectins and oxalotes otherwise find some grain free bread and tortillas that are healthy with all clean ingredients, learn to listen to your body if you don't feel good, energetic and joyful, maybe is because some of the foods you're eating are not helping you you could be eating too much or not enough, in my journey of eating healthy I'm finding out that is not just eating healthy foods but knowing how much to eat and when to eat them is a never ending learning experience,if you're moody or irritated that's your body telling you you're doing something wrong, eating healthy should make you feel not just a lot of energy but it should make you feel like smiling all the time because you feel so great, just recently I noticed that I was having problems getting a goodnight sleep and was irritable for no reason I found out it was because I was taking 50 mgs of Zinc so I cut down my dose to 25 mg and feel much better, finding out how much protein I need is also important, too much can be counter productive.
