I decided to look into this myself and I noticed different Hebrew translations of the New Testament render John 19:19 slightly different. For example, some translate it as "Yeshua MeNetzrat HeMelech HeYehudim" or "Jesus FROM Nazareth THE King of The Jews". That would make the tetragrammaton "Y-M-H-H". I saw another that was "Yeshua MeNetzrat Melech HeYehudim" or "Jesus OF Nazareth King of The Jews" That would make the tetragrammaton Y-M-M-H. Since we know the Hebrew of John 19:19 was translated from Greek and the translators chose how they wanted the Greek to be rendered in Hebrew, how do we know which Hebrew saying was on the original placard?
