If you didn't want your young angry son cursing God's name, would you tell them the true name, or tell them a "generic" name, to help protect them from an ultimate no go? It's sad if we couldn't say God's name in a different language. Then God will never had some of the OT Bible written in Aramaic. Just like Jesus's name in the New Testament, that was 1st written in Greek. But it went to the Greek, to the Latin, then to English, to what we know today. I always hear this a lot from the Black Hebrew Israelites Churches. And the Jehovah Witnesses Churches. But it's starting to pour into a lot of trinitarian Protestant churches now. I pray others can start waking up to these lies.
