In Roman mythology, Mercury (aka Hermes in Greek mythology) was the messenger of the Gods and the swiftest out of all of them.
Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and has the shortest year, hence why she's a messenger in flames.
Clever.
Half of mercury is also seared molten at any given time, hence the 'scarred face'
@@Freekymoho Actually Venus is hotter than mercury as Mercury has no atmosphere so no greenhouse effect but Mercury does expose the same side to the sun because its revolution around the sun and its rotation are synchronised. So one side of mercury is 300 °C and the other -200°C and Venus is 400°C
ah, here's the lyric analysis comment. my guess is that the song as a whole is just about how the sun will expand in around a billion years, putting "gaia" into the metaphorical "flames" and literal "scorching hellzone where the sun vaporizes the oceans"

also, "breathless yet she remains" is definitely an allusion to the lack of atmosphere. i am surprised there wasnt any mention of mercury's relativistic orbit, though that might just be the "empyreal ballet"
Astrophysicist here, can confirm Mercury speaks the truth: Sol will become a red giant and expand to consume Gaia in ~7.5 billion years. The Gods of the Sky and the Underworld, Jupiter and Saturn, will reign supreme in new habitable zone (Saturn won't have beautiful rings anymore, sadly). Stay tuned for more cosmic horror!

saturn's orbit will actually be too hot. so only objects beyond it will be habitable. luckily if humanity can keep it's current rate of advancement in just 1000years moving a planet will be no harder then moving an oil tanker.

“Breathless yet she remains” - Mercury doesn’t have much of an atmosphere
“Calamitous embrace” refers to how the sun will eventually grow much larger, consuming several planets in our solar system before finally collapsing into a white dwarf.
Also "empyreal ballet" is referring to Mercury's orbit! Empyreal meaning heavenly or in relation to the heavens. Its a word derived from ancient cosmology

Considering that the figure is literally wearing the astrological symbol for Mercury, yeah, this is a safe bet. The philological breakdown is nice though. One other observation would be the use of the word "messenger" and the winged ornaments about her head, both of which allude to the Mercury of Roman mythology as the messenger of the gods.
"Messenger" Mercury is the closest planet to pretty much everything orbiting the sun.

When Cepheid says that Sol will consume, Goddess will fall, fires will scorch Gaia's heart, Luna's eclipse... celestial downfall -- it's a direct reference to Prophecies: "..the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. What leads me to the picture: angels are considered God's messengers ( Greek "angelos" means ‘'messenger’'), therefore feathers around the Girl not only represent the god Mercury from the Mythology, but also the fact that she's a pure (white clothing) being closest to higher powers and its sayings.
The Sun image also resembles divine language, what reminds me of the prophecies in Daniel's book: "Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote. 6 His face turned pale and he was so frightened that his legs became weak and his knees were knocking.
The king summoned the enchanters, astrologers[b] and diviners. So we had songs for Gaia/Terra (Earth), Goddess (Venus/Aphrodite) and now we have the Messenger (Mercury/Hermes, in Flames relates to the position being closest to the sun) with mentions of Sol/Helios (Sun) and Luna/Selene (Moon), there is also the 4th empty Orbit being Mars, so I assume those are the candidates for the future

Could be wrong, but the song seems to be about Mercury telling Gaia and Venus about their fate being related to the Sun/Sol's death.
When the sun starts dying, it means it has run out of Hydrogen from its core to burn off as fuel, so it will start burning off the Hydrogen in its shell instead, rapidly expanding with its luminosity also steadily increasing, this is called the red giant stage of the sun's death. I'll be explaining the relation between the Sun's death and the song:
*➢"Light searing the sky":*
⎯When the sun starts expanding, it will "burn off" the Earth's atmosphere, AKA "light searing the sky".
*➢"Menacing gaze peering at her scarred face":*
⎯"Scarred face" would be Earth's surface becoming oceans of lava with the atmosphere lost to space, therefore its "scarred".
*➢"Breathless yet she remains":*
⎯"Breathless" could mean the loss of the atmosphere, due to it being burnt off by the Sun's death/expansion.
*➢"Facing the flames, messenger conveying fate":*
⎯The messenger here is Mercury since in Roman mythology Mercury is the gods' messenger. Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun therefore it is "facing the flames".
*➢"Sol will consume, goddess will fall":*
⎯The Sun, in its red giant stage, will consume Mercury, Venus & Gaia/Earth, "goddess" might be Venus in this, she will fall as she's consumed by the Sun's flames.

⎯Sol's eruption into rapid expansion and steady increase of luminosity that will engulf the 3 planets will leave nothing but embers and ash, in Earth's case it will actually leave oceans of lava and metal oxides but I digress.
⎯EDIT I: forgot to mention the artwork, the person in the image (I would assume to be Mercury), is "holding" the 3 planets (evident by the orbit lines around Sol/the Sun), the orange one would be Mercury, pink would be Venus and the blue one with a crescent orbiting it is, of course, Earth. The symbol on her crown (?) is Mercury's symbol ☿, Venus' symbol would of course be ♀, Earth's would be ⊕ and the Sun would be ⊙.

@@redacted8983 well yeah, and 100 years ago horse was the main form of transportation and eléctricity was the new hip thing, now a days a good chunk of the global population walks around with a super computer in their pockets, have access to a global library that stores the totality of all human knowledge ever writen in history, and we went to the moon, god only knows how advanced we will be in 100 years, or 1000 years, or 10,000 years, let alone 7.5 billion years, thats longer than the age of the planet (that we managed to decipher by the way, idk i just think that knowing how old the fucking universe is is pretty awesome and a show of how far we have come from seeing the shape of a bear in the night sky)

Gaia herself might fall, but the life she has created is a far more powerful force than any star if we can manage to not destroy ourselves first - because once we can explore the stars, the only thing that can stop life is life itself or the inevitable destruction of the universe itself.
Sol doesn't want to destroy anything, Gaia is her niece, they're family. Sol is just letting Gaia know that this balancing act she's been doing for a while now ain't gonna last much longer. The Carrington event was just Sol coughing when she was expecting a hiccup. One can only imagine what Sol looks like "not being able to control her self."

May be reading into this too much but here are the references I've noticed.
Breathless - refers to mercury having no atmosphere. the lack of atmosphere also explains 'the stars will witness' as they would always be visible, like on the surface of the moon.
Luna's eclipse - is likely referring to a solar eclipse where the moon shields the earth from the suns rays.
Encore - might be a reference to the unusual day/year cycle, mercury has a day that is two years long and therefore it could be said to 'repeat its performance' every single day.
Empyrean - refers to the highest circle of heaven consisting of fire and light, mercury orbits closest to the sun and is exposed to both heat and light more than any other planet.
Erupt into violent rage - this may reference the sunrise on mercury, as the frozen nighttime surface is exposed to sunlight its temperature would increase by several hundred degrees causing rapid expansion.
Messenger - could refer not only to Hermes/mercury, but also to the space probe MESSENGER which collected valuable readings from mercury.
Lastly: this may not be a reference, but 'the empyreal ballet' was a prog rock album from the late 70s, while it seems like a tenuous connection the cover art would be incredibly appropriate to convey mercury's temperature extremes.
It's very strange, your video was watched by all popular cover artists, but RUclips does not promote it in the recommendations, for those who have watched 100 times, the previous tracks about retrograde. And this is not only with your video, with other artists, the same.
Ok so this song is about mercury warning the other planets that Sol (The Sun) will inevitably consume the solar system by the supernova by Sol. (Let’s just pretend that what the sun is gonna do here in this series) but you know the other planets don’t even care because they are narcissistic to there own well being as a goddess to their respective planets. That’s my take to it, I welcome other perspectives

I theorize we will might get songs about the sun (mentioned as sol. Sun in Spanish and various languages) and the moon (mentioned as luna in both goddess and here). Like it's kinda weird that considering Gaia was also mentioned in goddess if I'm not wrong it's possible that after this we will get either a song about sun (maybe a leader of the cosmic planet goddess?) or about moon (maybe a vice leader of sorts. This is due to the fact that the moon shines by functioning as some sort of mirror of the sun using its light to shine) but maybe I'm just theorizing
The more I listen the more I feel there's a story here and I like it, though similarly to your statement this is all just theorizing.
Sol:
Has been referred to almost purely as a force of nature so far, with characters either hyping themselves up by saying they have already overcome Sol's heat (Goddess and Gaia) or that eventually it will destroy them all (Messenger in Flames)
Mercury: seems to either be subordinate to Sol (if they do turn out to be an individual) or simply the most fatalistic of the bunch, denouncing her fellow celestials for their hubris in believing they could overcome fate. Makes sense as being the closest to the Sun, she be the first to be consumed.
Venus: seems to be the top dog under the Sun as while Gaia, Luna and even Sol are referred to by name Venus is called Goddess by Mercury. Though as mentioned in the song, even she will fall in the face of Sol's rage.
Gaia: seems to be looking at her sister Venus' throne and seems to be the most industrious with her world, as while Venus and Mercury talk about their position in the heavens in relation to Sol, Gaia boasts about how she molded the Earth to her liking despite the Sun's rays seeking its ruin.

This song was amazing. Especially the theme behind it of the sun and the fact it will one day go supernova in a "cataclysmic embrace." And wipe out most if not all our planets.
Well nktnreally supernova, our sun doesnt have enough mass for something like that, instead it will consume all the hydrogen in the solar system and grow becoming a red giant destroying Mercury, Venus and posibly earth in the process, then once all the hydrogen is gone it will shrink into a white dwarve, then after a couple billion years devolve into a brown dwarve and finaly die as a black dwarve
Thats it if we don't stop the sun before that happens

The sun does not have enough mass to go super nova, it will just grow in size and consume the inner planets, that if we don't stop it from ever reaching that state

Her panet is basically going to die, she has this tone that she is almost glad that its going to die, as if all the planets envious of Gaia because she is the only one harboring life? Especially when she tells her to "Dance her encore with grace" it almost sounds like she's kinda threatening her...Idkkk... Seems like it 👀
