Noticed the same thing. I wonder if the producer/composer/arranger of this particular track has any involvement with the old atelier osts? Some guys in the comments at least pointed out to something like that.
@@IuriSigma The singer, Rekka Katakiri, was also the singer and lyric-writer for the two Cocona songs in the Ar Tonelico games (METHOD_HYMMELI and METHOD_HYMME_GRANZERO=SPEAR), which were developed by Gust, the same studio as the Atelier games. And the arranger and composer for both of those is HIR, who arranged this song. And it's very evident, I think - those two are also very chant-like, with strong drums. I thought of those within ten seconds of starting this. So: I don't know whether they've been involved with Atelier directly, but they're not at more than one remove from it.
This is superb. I don't have the faintest Idea of KanColle in any way, shape, or form, but this is a strong piece of music. I wonder why I even got it recommended, not that I'm complaining.
Aaaah now this voice brings me back... I loved her performance in Ar Tonelico II and now I am in love with this arrangement of arguably the best boss theme and KanColle vocal track.
The Amount of Hatred in this Song Really send Chills to my Spine , it's like a song written in a Cold Hell , the bottom of the Dark Sea , all the Pain , Anger and Sorrow of those that were broken and send to The bottom of the Sea along with their great Grudge , and their Great Revenge to Send everyone down to the Ocean just like they did...
The arrangement was done by the group behind a good chunk of Ar Tonelico's music. If you like the style of vocals, that would be a good place to find more songs like this.
I wonder what it'd take for Kantai Collection to become like the SCP Foundation in the sense that it is a collaborative work with no definitive owner and not owned by a singular firm.

@@typehere6689 I doubt Tanaka would give up his control over the plot and worldbuilding of the game. _If_ there was any form of community contribution it would be shipgirl/abyssal design _at most_ , although this is still highly impossible because it is hard to keep the quality in check. In addition, IMO it is best not to make the official game/mythos a collaborative work; the game revolves around WWII warships and related historical events, which means that if there isn't any form of gatekeeping it is guaranteed to have an influx of wehraboos and tojoboos which effectively kills the title as a friendly neighborhood national brand with countless collaborations with JMSDF (Japan's quasi-naval force which has been trying hard to distant itself from its shameful past as IJN) and various civilian companies. The most acceptable form of community work would be collaborative doujin and it seems that Tanaka/C2 Preparat is pretty lax on doujin stuff.
after watching the anime, reading the manga (protagonist shimikaze) then the movie, my theory about abyssals fleet is confirmed and based off from the looks of alter fubuki who has a figure older than current fubuki, she must be under the ocean for a very very long time.
It's actually normal, because HIR composed most of the Knell of Ar Ciel OST, and Chata and Katakiri also worked on some hymmnos songs (Sasha's song and METHOD_HYMMELI/. respectively)!
Man, the pain of watching a shipgirl sink is just.... very very tough to deal with once you get into the storyline. Also this song hits different after watching the anime. Because in the game you at least have full control of your shipgirls and you will never let any of them die if you dont take foolish greedy risks.

As I remember from the Official plot, the Abyssal were Aliens (if I'm not wrong). There are some hints, like this or that in the game based on the history events, but they are not the US Navy or any other Navy.
this song goes to show that the unique appeal of Kancolle among all these games, and the reason this little meant-to-be-forgotten browser game from 2013 is still going in 2020, is that it makes you want to believe in shipgirls yall go learn Japanese and come back and you'll see, you'll allllll seeeeee

No reason? Both that mission and this song are portrayals of hatred vs resolve, madness vs compassion, and despair vs hope. They fit very well because they have nearly the same themes they’re trying to convey.

@@IuriSigma The singer, Rekka Katakiri, was also the singer and lyric-writer for the two Cocona songs in the Ar Tonelico games (METHOD_HYMMELI and METHOD_HYMME_GRANZERO=SPEAR), which were developed by Gust, the same studio as the Atelier games. And the arranger and composer for both of those is HIR, who arranged this song. And it's very evident, I think - those two are also very chant-like, with strong drums. I thought of those within ten seconds of starting this. So: I don't know whether they've been involved with Atelier directly, but they're not at more than one remove from it.

@@typehere6689 I doubt Tanaka would give up his control over the plot and worldbuilding of the game. _If_ there was any form of community contribution it would be shipgirl/abyssal design _at most_ , although this is still highly impossible because it is hard to keep the quality in check.
In addition, IMO it is best not to make the official game/mythos a collaborative work; the game revolves around WWII warships and related historical events, which means that if there isn't any form of gatekeeping it is guaranteed to have an influx of wehraboos and tojoboos which effectively kills the title as a friendly neighborhood national brand with countless collaborations with JMSDF (Japan's quasi-naval force which has been trying hard to distant itself from its shameful past as IJN) and various civilian companies.
The most acceptable form of community work would be collaborative doujin and it seems that Tanaka/C2 Preparat is pretty lax on doujin stuff.

after watching the anime, reading the manga (protagonist shimikaze) then the movie, my theory about abyssals fleet is confirmed and based off from the looks of alter fubuki who has a figure older than current fubuki, she must be under the ocean for a very very long time.

Man, the pain of watching a shipgirl sink is just.... very very tough to deal with once you get into the storyline.
Also this song hits different after watching the anime.

As I remember from the Official plot, the Abyssal were Aliens (if I'm not wrong). There are some hints, like this or that in the game based on the history events, but they are not the US Navy or any other Navy.
this song goes to show that the unique appeal of Kancolle among all these games, and the reason this little meant-to-be-forgotten browser game from 2013 is still going in 2020, is that it makes you want to believe in shipgirls
