Visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, USA was a thrilling and scenic odyssey. Spanning over 800 square miles, it is the most visited national park in America. National Parks have truly been called America’s "best idea."
The Smokies offered awe-inspiring mountain views, enchanting forest trails, the melodious flow of rivers, creeks, and springs, and scenic drives through miles of forest. We enjoyed abundant wildlife, encountering black bears-natural inhabitants of the Smoky Mountains-three times. The fun continued at Anakeesta, a mountaintop adventure park, with its thrilling skylift and stunning views from the Skydeck in Skypark, and the Treetop Skywalk. Our stay at Park Vista, a hotel perched on a mountaintop facing the Smokies, added to the fairy-tale experience.
The natural beauty and the memories created within the park are indescribable. Some things you must experience for yourself to truly understand their magic. The Smoky Mountains, with their fresh air and naturally scented surroundings, are calling all cuddle bugs to come and fall in love with nature.
