This was back when families would sit in the living room together. And watch television as a family I have a lot of memories sitting in the living room and watching this show. Good memories from glad I was raised when I was raised wouldn't want to be raised in today's world.
I say that all the time. We were blessed to have grown up back then. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The children and a lot of their parents, from these times, should be so lucky as to grow up back then. I am 71 now and still have a crush on Bubba. I love his hair back then. 😹😹😹😹

My 83 year old Mother watches this show everyday of the week.
I absolutely loved this show... I use to watch it with my family and we were constantly in stitches laughing so hard.. They were all good we thought. How they could do this show so well without laughing, I don't know.. I'm sure it took them several takes!!! I loved mama... Betty was so good playing dumb characters in bith this show and Golden Girls... Enjoyed the memories, thank you for showing this!!😅

Betty didn't "play dumb" in this show at all. She was smart, witty and very self centered. And only appeared a couple of times.

Wow I couldn’t stop crying remembering all this Great GREAT actors . This people had been putting a smile on our faces since I was a kid myself. Now I’m 56, and all I can remember is watching the Carol Burnett show and then came MAMAS PLACE. How beautifully awesome was to sit dwn and watch their programs with the family. Those were the great OLD DAYS. We don’t have much of those anymore. Traditions had been stored away in a far far away closet some where. How wonderful was to have them in our lives. R.I.P. I used to watch this show everyday back when I was younger. It’s sad to see everyone I grew up watching passing away. But we don’t live forever and we all go back from which we came.

Thelma and Bubba were the two main reason's I watched Mama"s Family. Thelma was so hilarious and Bubba was..... well You know.......😘

Absolutely! Sonya, who played Buzz's sister, also made a fantastic contribution to the show. The entire cast did a wonderful job, and their performances made the show even more enjoyable. It's great to appreciate the efforts of all the actors involved in creating such a memorable series.
I loved the Mama's Family gang, still do actually! But very likely they all would agree that Tim Conway was the cherry atop the whipped cream atop the sundae! I wonder if anyone thought to count how many times he cracked them up??

I liked everyone who was apart of this favorite television show.
A little info for people who may not have known, Mama's family was a skit on the Carol Burnett show. It was so popular that they did a show of it's own. You see Unis and Ed, Carol Burnett and Havey Corman at the start of the series, but "moved away" as so did Ellen' "Betty White. That was decided before the series was made. Also, Fran Crowley, Rue McClanahan dies on the show." FAKE OF Course!" and they changed the kids. First they were the children of Vince . I think they went to college and Bubba being the child of Unis and Ed's was in trouble with the law and couldn't leave the town on some probation. That's why he stays with his Grandma. I thought I was older than the kids. Wrong! I'm 55. Watched the Carok Burnett in rerun and when on air and watched Mama's family religiously. I know all of the episodes and Love dearly both shows! I washed they would make show like them!

There was also a pilot film for the show (after the Carol Burnett Show ended its run) in which Ken Berry (Vinton) played another son "Phillip". In the film, "Mama" actually dies in the end, and Eunice (who'd also been left by Ed) is convinced to finally go off to pursue her dreams on her own. I think it originally aired in 1983.

I loved 'the family' on the Carol Burnette show. We used to sit at watch it on tv every week. Then, I was thrilled about Mama's family and loved all the cast. I was also watching All My Children at the same time and Naomi - Dorothy Lyman - was also on that show at the same time. She would fly between NYC and LA to film the two shows. So, I saw her play two different characters at the same time. I still watch Mama's Family today because its always on some channel at some point. I just loved the 80s tv shows.
I remember when Ms. Lyman played a part on the Soap Opera “All My Children” all those decades ago.
