I was in a deep depression and it was past midnight. As I listened to the song, it was as if it made my brain harmonize with it, a feeling of waves that danced gracefully yet strongly. Therefore helping me process and accept my situation, gaining strength.. I kept crying, not because I was upset, but because for the first time.. I felt hope. And it was like a sunset sky, such intense colors and light with unexplainable beauty and depth!
A huge shout out to FIFA for putting me on Slowdive, without them I would've never discovered this gem of a band and their amazing music. Slomo in particular has a special place in heart. Thank you for making it an even slower song.
This is my favorite song (out of many!) from Slowdive and this slow version just makes it better! Sounds so etheral and shoegazy. Excellent choice of film footage to accompany it too.

It’s really difficult to express how much this means to me, I’m really high and I’m really teary eyed and snot nosed now. 😭Lmao I think Slomo is one of the most emotionally cathartic songs within their catalogue, which is saying a LOT. So thankful for Gregg Araki’s films for introducing me into the wonderfully surreal, sad and very tender world of Slowdive!
