    Milan came up on my watch list a few weeks ago and Ive been Binge watching them. You just came up on my watch list and I love what you said about them. Im nowhere near anyone on there or you, but its nice to know I have choices. 100$ a month for the $3600 is something realistic with a small part time job for a few months to pay for. Love your work.

      I'm happy you found this video, hope it helped:) I think you would learn pretty fast and for sure get there, too with this program. In the end it's not about comparing yourself to others but to yourself and see your own progress. Following your dream is always a good decision, I wish you the best with it coming true🤗

    I just discovered your channel Saskia and I really enjoyed your video and also appreciate the fact that you took the time to make them. I’m a student of the Mastery Program (almost at the finish line of Part 1) and I so enjoy it. I’ve learned so much with this wonderful program and my art is improving, Doing things I never thought I could do. I’m am cheering you on and became a subscriber. Looking forward to your future videos.

      Thank you so much! That sounds awesome, I'm so happy for you. And yes, you definitely learn a lot in this program. I'm looking forward to share the journey with you here😊

    I miss the Art Institute. I had to leave after a few months because I couldnt afford it any longer. I learned a lot in the short time I was there. Im hoping to rejoin someday soon.

      I'm sad to hear that but it's nice that you already learned a lot. Maybe you can even try to sell some artworks with that knowledge and effort the course again. It's certainly a lot of money but with the right mindset there are always oppertunities. Wish you the best!

    Thank you for making these videos and sharing your journey.
    I’m starting the mastery program this December, I’m very excited and a little nervous.
    I just hope I can keep up the pace and learn as much as possible given it’s an online course and not face to face.❤

      @sjaeger_art  2 месяца назад +1

      So nice! Congrats! Just don't stress yourself too much about it and take the time that you need to learn. Since you can do the program on your own pace it's no problem at all. I'm also much slower than the suggested pacing. Even if you are moving slow you are still moving forward and will reach your goals eventually 🙌🏼

    Hello Saskia, I have been enjoying your videos and they have been inspiring so thank you for your time effort and talent. I can’t believe how good your art was anyways, how did you learn to paint your acrylic work so well? Natural talent? I also love your Mastery program journey. Please how are you able to work out which oil paint is warm and cold, I try from Ellie Milans post. But I think I am just guessing 😅 kind regards Justine 0:31 (Melbourne Australia- Seaford near the beach)😊

    • @sjaeger_art
      @sjaeger_art  2 месяца назад

      I'm happy to hear that, thank you! 🤗 I think talent is always a bit overrated. Maybe I had the tendency to see colors easier but mostly it's just practice and the will to learn and get better. There is nothing you can't learn. I used to draw and paint already throughout my childhood and later observed a lot of art from artists I find inspiring and tried to figure out how their process works. That's how I started building up skills.
      Yeah warm and cools are tricky:D I'm still trying to figure that out myself. Maybe it helps if you try to figure out where a color would be in the color wheel and if it moves more towards a color (green/blue) or warmer (red/yellow) direction within the main color type. And gamblin has a color chart which tells if it's warm or cool, too. I use it a lot to check if I was right about my guess. Hope that helps:)

    Are you done with the second part of the program yet? About how much did the art supplies cost for the multimedia part? I enjoy your charcoal drawings.

    • @sjaeger_art
      @sjaeger_art  3 месяца назад +2

      I have to admit that I haven't started the mixed media part yet since some things got in-between. This takes much longer for me than expected🫣 but will do so soon. My costs for the materials are around 700 € but it's tricky to get some of them in Germany, so maybe it's a bit cheaper depending on where you live. The Milan Art Institute offers kits for this, too, but I don't have any experience with ordering from them.

      @sjaeger_art I have over $2000 in at this time, but did get extra paper, canvas, etc. Thank you for responding.

    • @sjaeger_art
      @sjaeger_art  3 месяца назад

      Yeah art materials can get pretty expensive, especially if you invest into good quality. I had a lot of canvases at home already and some paint, too so that might be a big difference. But still I believe it's worth it. Maybe you will even sell your first pieces😇 how far are you in the program now?

  • @2ndBirth

    The main thing I like about this program is that we get to try out lots of different media and find what we like to use. It does cost a bit of money but I think it will be worth it to be able to explore different things and hopefully find our own artistic voice. It will be cool to see your progress :o) God bless.

    I like taking there "Learn this in 3 hours" (the Drawing & Abstract Made Easy) courses for 14-25 dollars cost bc while i understand their mission & vision, their "style" is what i like as a bg for my works than as the focus. No shame to the abstract artists out there, but as someone who's more into impressionism & figurative, my work is more on having an abstract bg, portrait as the main/middleground, & 3D materials as the foreground.
    I can't strictly do abstract all the way bc i feel like their style would wash away my style. I'm growing to be a better & faster artist thanks to their lessons, but I'm going to mainly utilize my style of using 2D & 3D together.

    • @sjaeger_art
      @sjaeger_art  7 месяцев назад

      Sounds like you have a pretty interesting style! Stick to it😊 the goal shouldn't be to paint exactly like them but learn about things that you might apply to your own style. If it helps you with the background, it's awesome😊

    Ich fand das Video sehr spannend, auch wenn ich mich sicher nicht beim MAI einschreiben werde. Seit November lerne ich aber Ölmalerei in einem Kurs an der Kunstakademie, der nicht gerade günstig ist. Ich habe lange gebraucht, um micht zu diesem Schritt durchzuringen, bin aber zur Zeit sehr froh darüber. So richtig Hoffnung auf eine Künstlerkarriere mache ich mir nicht. Dafür fehlt mir die Selbstdisziplin. Und die Zeit. Und außerdem mag ich meinen Job zum Glück richtig doll.
    Aber es macht mir auch Spaß, deinen Weg zu verfolgen und ein bisschen mit dir zu träumen. Ich bewundere auf jeden Fall deinen Mut, an dem Programm teilzunehmen und dafür auch noch so viel Zeit freizuschaufeln.

      Bei mir hat es auch ziemlich lange gedauert und ist auch das erste Mal, dass ich einen Kunstkurs belege. Egal in welches Umfang lohnt ea sich denke ich schon, auch mal in die Dinge zu investieren, die man gern macht. Glückwunsch zu deinem Kurs. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass du dort auch sehr viel lernen wirst😊
      Und wenn du mit deinem Job zufrieden bist und Kunst einfach ein schönes Hobby ist, ist doch alles super! Ob es bei mir mit der Selbstständig auf Dauer klappt oder nicht, muss ich ja auch erst herausfinden. Freut mich aber, wenn ich meinen Weg mit dir teilen kann🤗

    Hallo Saskia, Wo in Deutschland lebst Du? Die Preise sind ziemlich gestiegen :( undes gibt jetzt keine Option mit 100 oder 150 Euro/Monatlich mehr. Sehr schade!

      Oh, das tut mir Leid zu hören, zu Beginn des Jahres war es noch nicht so. Vielleicht findest du ja trotzdem die Möglichkeit oder nimmt erstmal an ihren kostenlosen Workshops teil. Da lernt man ja auch schon einiges.

    Hi, Im also in mastering. You say, you can learn all of it yourself somehow. I dont really think so. You learn everything here, from start to finish. Also about your voice and so on. The way they teach, everybody can learn. In quitte a short time and much in depth. I could only draw a portrait like a child would😅 and in a few weeks, first portrait lesson, in oils for .... sake, really did well. Even sold the painting. I can do things now I would never imagined. And Im just 2months in, (also procrastination and burn out in the time, so I could have been almost a year in😂) they help you, find your true self. Your voice, your purpouse. And its all allready written out for you. I would never be able to learn all those things by my self, searching on the internet. You would totally miss the good working lessons and be all over the place. Well, I hope you share more. I love to see it. But dont let the filming part etc. hold you back. And procrestinate.. ❤ your doing great

      Oh, congratulations to the program! It's great to hear about your insane progress so far!🤩 I think, if you're willing to put a lot of tume and effort into researching in the internet and about old masters' work, it's possible to learn these things yourself. But it would probably take ages. The question here is if it's realistic that someone would do it. For me for sure not😅 So I absolutely agree that this program is the much more efficient version. And like tiu said, all the positive motivational things they say and make you think about, definitely make it to an awesome experience, too✨️
      I'm happy to hear that you're better now and fought through your procrastination! I'll try my best to balance everything, too. Thanks for your lovely words💚
      Wish you the best for the rest of the program and your artistic journey!

      Als ich mich eingeschrieben habe, haben sie das Mastery Program vierteljährlich gestarted. Ich bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob sie da was geändert haben. Bei mir hat es im April angefangen und habe mich ca. einen Monat früher auf die Warteliste setzen lassen:)

    Unless you want to paint like the Milan’s it’s not worth it. They talk about finding your voice but from the extensive stuff I’ve seen everyone who does the programme comes out painting beautiful young women with some sort of animal superimposed somewhere in the painting. It’s all very samey and not finding your own voice at all. Also T he lessons on technique only brush the surface. The course is really not very good. You’d be better off spending your money somewhere else.

    • @sjaeger_art
      @sjaeger_art  7 месяцев назад +1

      True, I also saw the similarities in some works but was wondering if it's because they are teaching it like that or if it's because students usually like their way to paint and take them as their inspiration. I guess I'll find out myself and see where it will take me^^ Anyways the artworks that I saw people creating in this program are stunning but I also get if it's not everyone favorite style. Have you taken lessons of them?

    • @Juststudiothings
      @Juststudiothings 7 месяцев назад +1

      I totally agree with this. It seems like they’re selling a shortcut for a specific style but you will then be stuck in that style. You need fundamental training and then you can learn the style. I find most people coming out of this program aren’t ready to sell work yet.

      Its a problem of students that they try to copy Dimitra. They do not teach you to oaint only wimen with animals. But also if you would search art history woman was always most painted object.
