Love your channel. I bought this statue almost a month ago well worth it. I refuse to see black widow. They ruined taskmaster in that movie. Don’t agree with a woman cast on that.
Love this Sculpt! Fantastic posing! For those who don't know, Task Master was created by George Perez, and was a created a few months earlier than another iconic he created for DC...Deathstroke( Aka Slade!).
Well done sculpt of the Taskmaster. Love how he is strapped with so many weapons, ready to be used at his disposal anytime. The worn out look to his outfit let's you know that he is all action with nothing held back. Have to agree that he would look good with the Captain America and Black widow statues but being that their bases do not match, it would look ocuard. Both Captain America and Black widow have a base that have a Hydra concept to them. It would be better if they were to make a Red Skull majestically standing at ready with a couple of Hydra soldiers in front of him, with firearms shooting. Anyway this Taskmaster is still an amazing piece non the less. Definitely better with the original skull portrait.
I just got my exclusive taskmaster in and set it up today. Absolutely amazed at just how massive he looks. Next to my Dr. Strange maquette, his cape definitely outshines strange’s cloak of levitation. The bright contrast between the white and copper orange on the inside just pops so much. 100% prefer the exclusive head sculpt being more modern but can’t go wrong either way. Where his base lacks, everything else more than makes up for it.
One of my favorite characters and character designs! Loving the mixed media especially on the cape and hood. It almost looks like the hood doesn't obscure his peripheral vision. Nice touch!
Epic Taskmaster unboxing and review man! Glad I didn’t miss this. The attention to detail is astounding from the body sculpture to the clothing material. I love face mask and the design of it. Hope to see more great statue reviews! 😃👍🏻
I agree. It wasn't even the Taskmaster. Changing some things for a movie is 1 thing, but when you 100% change a character, why don't you just create a new one.....?

The exclusive head portrait looks almost like Ghost Rider 2099 and the collectors edition head portrait looks a bit like both Skeletor and MK Scorpion. Nice review. Just recently watched the Black Widow movie and it was good and different. Ironically though the actress who played as Taskmaster, Olga Kurylenko, did in fact played a part of a secret organization that takes children away from their families from all over the world to become assassins in the first Hitman movie with Timothy Olyphant, as Hitman Agent 47. Would be cool if there were a hidden easter egg of Hitman's insignia of a "Fleur De Lys" somewhere on the Taskmaster's armor as sort of a connection to both the organization in Hitman and the MCU Widow organization who Dreykov controls. But it's a different franchise, yet would be cool to see to point out.
Still can't believe what they did to Taskmaster in Black Widow movie. I was so happy when they reveal that he's the villain, never thought they're gonna massacre my boy.

Just got mine in and love him! Just wondering, does the sword on yours have just a "hint" of wobble or looseness where the blade connects to the hilt? Wondering if that was on purpose.
Despite not being a fan of Taskmaster, as I think the DC equivalent, Deathstroke, is much cooler and I prefer his costume, I still think they did an awesome job with this statue. I particularly like the discolouration on the white parts, which makes his costume look less dorky.
Looks great overall. My minor gripe is the head doesn’t look like a human head should be underneath that mask unless it’s deformed, but the whole thing is an exaggerated work of comic book style art. Awesome statue.
The sculpt is great, and Gem, you're right. Why would you display this with any other sculpt except the exclusive? It matches the rest of the piece perfect. And that sword is ridiculously big.

This has a lot going for it. Beautifully sculpted and painted, but I'm not really feeling that mixed media hood and cape.
I really dig it. i just wish the quiver was on top of the cape.
A decent stab let down by the fabric cloak. The Bowen Taskmaster is still the best Taskmaster piece I've seen.
