Every character has flaws and isn't perfect,its why I love Emmerdale.Chas has admitted she hasn't been a good mother in the past.If Chas knew what Robert knows about Aaron she would believe him and support her son 100%Gordon is the one who should be hated not Chas.
A shoulder rub, aww... I've always wanted more casual physical affection between them and we're finally getting it. I actually can't blame Chas for being frustrated this time because Aaron came at her really aggressively and didn't show any care or concern for her court case even after offering to take her there himself. Comparing him to Gordon is a low-blow, though, and a lot more harmful than she realizes. However, where does she expect Aaron to go? He doesn't exactly have a multitude of friends and his supposed best mate, who's hardly ever around, already has a permanent house-guest. Paddy's not even an option for reasons she has no clue about. I mean I guess he could go live with Cain or Lisa but they've both got full houses too. Unless he stayed at Debbie's for a while since it's empty. And after already abandoning him once, kicking him out is like throwing him away all over again. It's a wonder that Aaron is still standing with all the emotional and psychological damage his parents have inflicted.
Supportive Robert is the best. But I'm worried that Robert will become too nice. I want him to be good to Aaron, but I hope that he doesn't completely lose his evil ways. Ryan Hawley is too good at that to not use those skills. Chas shouldn't kick Aaron out, but she doesn't have all the info about Gordon, so what can she do? And who on earth is buying this pub? Lisa maybe? The suspense is killing me.
I'm torn between this situation between Chas and Aaron. Chas can't see that it must be bad for Aaron to say he'd rather see her in prison than with Gordon but considering Aaron's done and said some extreme things when he's upset for ANY reason, it's hard to fault her for not jumping to the conclusion that Gordon is evil. While I do believe it was an accident, Robert was involved in Katy's death. So seeing Aaron with him would understandably be seen as a betrayal by Chas. I hope this get solved between them when Aaron's trauma gets found out but somehow I doubt it will. P.S. I know it was 2 maybe 3 seconds but that shoulder rub was everything. Aaron is now accepting solace from Robert. Can't wait till they graduate to full blown again.

It's like a love and hate relationship between Aaron and Chaz right now. Chaz doesn't like Aaron being friendly with Robert and Aaron doesn't like that his mom is seeing Gordon, his father again. One one hand, In a way I feel like it was Aaron who's at fault in the first place for not telling Chaz what happened and hiding what happened to him. On the other hand, I feel like Chaz is as much to blame as well because of the fact that when she's with Gordon she turns a blind eye to Aaron. Even though I'm glad that she's dealing with her PTSD and that she will not be charged for stabbing Diane, it just seems that both her and Aaron don't really share with each other what really going on in their lives until it's too late. I'm glad that at this moment Robert is taking the time to help Aaron through this tough time.

I'm glad Robert & Aaron are on speaking terms, and I hope Robert continues to offer moral support for Aaron as he needs it. But right now, Aaron must have mixed feelings toward Robert. He trusted Robert with how Gordon repeatedly raped him, because he desperately needed to tell someone. At the same time, he hasn't forgotten how Robert has emotionally abused him, so he's not ready to trust Robert with his affections. I assume they'll eventually reunite. But for now, Aaron isn't thinking about that, although it's clear (to us) what Robert wants . Meanwhile, stupid Chas talks as if it's already happened. Fortunately, though, this isn't a musical comedy.

More importantly, Aaron isn't ready for anything to happen. He needs (1) support and (2) a place to live, and Robert is currently able to provide those things, while Chas isn't (mostly because she's not in the know about Gordon yet, I'm sure; she does love Aaron and will, I'm sure, be supportive when she finds out / believes it). well, when it comes to emmerdale the normal rules don't apply. nobody in this town and I mean nobody is a saint. everyone has their fair share of bad deeds. be it aaron, robert, chas, ross, cain or anyone. the only difference is the number of times. so whatever robert did in past to aaron or however aaron retaliated cannot be carved in a stone to judge the morality of their relationship. that cannot be the decisive factor whether they should be together or not. only their present can decide that. the depth of aaron' s love for robert was always clear. aaron loved robert very passionately and I don't think that ever went away because he still trusted him with something so private and devastating. robert's love for aaron was also clear but his self denial became the biggest hurdle. now that he has finally accepted they have a very good chance of a strong relationship with a good foundation unlike last time

+Matheus Lunguinho Everyone keeps going on about "poor" Aaron. He is 24 years old and is an adult, even if he doesn't act it. Its time he takes responsibility for his own life and actions. How is Chas supposed to act when she is told and sees only one side of the story? I personally think the best thing she said to Aaron was how they know where he gets his controlling and bullying nature. You could see how much that stung him when she made him see is actions and how he treats her. She has begged him to tell her and yet he decides not to open up. If he feels SO strongly about Gordon then he needs to give some real reason. I don't care if she is his mom, words and actions need to match up and right now he is not respecting her. Telling him that she feels it best he find some other place to live isn't abandoning him. There came a point in my own life that my parents said much the same thing, at first I was angry about it, but that soon changed and as time went on I saw their love was still there, I just needed to become an adult and take direction and control of my own life. Even animals eventually wean their young.

Aaron and Chaz have been down this road before, there's 2 possible outcomes out of this, either Chaz is going to regret what she did and beg Aaron to come back for whatever reason (probably Robert though) or she's going to find out the truth (not from Aaron) and beg him to come back after giving Gordon a piece of her mind. Also, she knows what kind of man Aaron is, even if she's uncertain of his motives, he always in some way has one and she should trust that... Anyway, really want to see how they'll deal with that and how Aaron having nowhere to go is going to make Robert and him closer :D

god this tiny bits or story line on Aaron driving me nuts. I want more and longer clips i watch the full episodes every day. the other story lines just don't have anything that interesting or if they do it's tid bits also. why not do 1 or 2 story lines per episode and each day feature a different group of people. Like do Aaron and chaz on mondays, then cain and mora tuesday and so on since the stories dont enter weave that much. reminds me of the cartoons i'd see as a kid like Jem and holograms where each was like 10 minutes then you'd see another cartoon for same amount of time so it was hard cause story just picks up speed and you have to waite. I'd rather watch and hour or even a half hour on Aaron every monday then just 5 minutes or less each day.
Suggestion: John Partridge returns to Emmerdale, an old teacher of Aaron's -- he buys the pub, hires Aaron to manage the place --- we get rid of the boring Chaz who goes on a long holiday to the Canary Island with her precious hubby and all of a sudden Aaron and John Partiridge take over the show: NEW STORYLINE
what really baffles me is that being a mother she should have seen the obvious signs and detected something really wrong with aaron. I mean I know aaron has done things before but this time his behavior is quite extreme. I mean he can't even look at gordon properly let alone talk to him. also his anger and rage towards gordon is far too extreme to be categorized as normal aaron behavior when he does not like something. chas herself said that aaron was very close to his dad and she never wondered how can aaron hate gordon so much? so far she can't be excused just because she does not. know
I don't mind Robert and I'm so happy he's there for Aaron and finally respecting him, and the little caress on the shoulder was nice, but I won't be impressed if they're using this rape storyline just for a Robron reunion! It shouldn't be about them..or the public displays of affection etc. Robert can be the supporting character like Chas and Cain etc. but I want to see this story being mainly about evil Gordon getting his commupance and Aaron getting justice! What Chas feels is totally understandable. I know they will work this out, they are two of the best characters put together and their brilliant and dysfunctional journey will continue. But Aaron never lets her be with any man in peace, nice man or not, while he has put her through so much all these last few years and she has fought for him constantly (talking since his coming out, not first when she was a bad mum) and made her worried sick, last straw getting back with Robert while denying Gordon (for all she knows). Katie´s "accident" anniversary is coming, they are already mentioning her more.

Should have happened before. Aaron needs to start taking care of himself, Chas and Paddy were disabling him to fully grow up. I hope Robert doesn't offer his space, although I am not sure where he resides. It's too soon for that kind of commitment. I really enjoyed mother/son argument who has the worse man.

That being said, I would also like for Robert to have some divorce drama, since it's been built up so much since the summer, but I don't think it will happen now with everything else that is going on. They would be allowed to file for a divorce this Friday, but with Robert being so preoccupied with Aaron I just don't think they will make the divorce a big deal, which is a bit anticlimatic imo. Hopefully they'll come back to it later because I want to see Robert fight for the business and stuff without just leaving peacefully.

The only two family members he has are almost never seen onscreen with him and are secondary characters. While Aaron always has things going on. Apart from the upcoming reunion with Robert he keeps having these other big stories. Since the end of the summer Robert has been truly put to rest. I also would like for him to get his own story. In fact, that´s how I would have prefered this to go: start new story arc for Robert and let them be truly separated, forever if possible :)

Chaz may have not been a good mum early in Aaron's childhood, but she's more than made up by being patient/tolerating so many years of Aaron's temper/emotional turmoil and legal problems, all the while spending endless time worrying about him and being supporting through his sexuality, relationships, and legal troubles...........Aaron's had it good living w/ mum and now it is time to cut to cord and live his life, instead of trying to bully and control his mum.........I agree with Chaz! Aaron realized is he as being an A-Hole for not supporting his mum (see the look on his stunned face) while acting selfish. While I like Aaron (and feel bad for him at times), good for Chaz for standing up for her self!

But after Jackson´s death she finally was the one who saved her son, not Paddy or anybody else. She was also responsible for Aaron being able to finally return from France. She has fought a lot for him. While my beloved Aaron never, absolutely never, approves any man Chas gets, nice (James) or not. Chas supported both Jackson and Ed, just not Robert (and for obvious reasons).

+sanyrub *SPOILERS* Chas will believe Aaron instantly and it will be a huge relief for him. I don't see the point of bringing Robert doubting Aaron into it though. It wasn't his greatest moment, but it was a realistic reaction (which is why the writers chose to do it. It wasn't at all about his character, but about showing what rape victims go through in a realistic manner) and that doesn't mean he loves him any less or is less trustworthy. Don't get me wrong, I know you don't like him and you have every right to feel that way, but there are plenty of reasons to dislike him without using that against him :)

However, where does she expect Aaron to go? He doesn't exactly have a multitude of friends and his supposed best mate, who's hardly ever around, already has a permanent house-guest. Paddy's not even an option for reasons she has no clue about.
I mean I guess he could go live with Cain or Lisa but they've both got full houses too. Unless he stayed at Debbie's for a while since it's empty.
And after already abandoning him once, kicking him out is like throwing him away all over again. It's a wonder that Aaron is still standing with all the emotional and psychological damage his parents have inflicted.

Supportive Robert is the best. But I'm worried that Robert will become too nice. I want him to be good to Aaron, but I hope that he doesn't completely lose his evil ways. Ryan Hawley is too good at that to not use those skills.
Chas shouldn't kick Aaron out, but she doesn't have all the info about Gordon, so what can she do? And who on earth is buying this pub? Lisa maybe? The suspense is killing me.
I'm torn between this situation between Chas and Aaron. Chas can't see that it must be bad for Aaron to say he'd rather see her in prison than with Gordon but considering Aaron's done and said some extreme things when he's upset for ANY reason, it's hard to fault her for not jumping to the conclusion that Gordon is evil. While I do believe it was an accident, Robert was involved in Katy's death. So seeing Aaron with him would understandably be seen as a betrayal by Chas.
I hope this get solved between them when Aaron's trauma gets found out but somehow I doubt it will.
P.S. I know it was 2 maybe 3 seconds but that shoulder rub was everything. Aaron is now accepting solace from Robert. Can't wait till they graduate to full blown again.

When your child’s reaction to their father is filled with this much hatred you have to take a step back and be unafraid to the hard questions.

It's like a love and hate relationship between Aaron and Chaz right now. Chaz doesn't like Aaron being friendly with Robert and Aaron doesn't like that his mom is seeing Gordon, his father again. One one hand, In a way I feel like it was Aaron who's at fault in the first place for not telling Chaz what happened and hiding what happened to him. On the other hand, I feel like Chaz is as much to blame as well because of the fact that when she's with Gordon she turns a blind eye to Aaron. Even though I'm glad that she's dealing with her PTSD and that she will not be charged for stabbing Diane, it just seems that both her and Aaron don't really share with each other what really going on in their lives until it's too late. I'm glad that at this moment Robert is taking the time to help Aaron through this tough time.

If Aaron moves out, should he move in with Robert? Why not? They could throw in a song & dance to smooth over the huge plot leap. Something like "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down" from Mary Poppins. I'm glad Robert & Aaron are on speaking terms, and I hope Robert continues to offer moral support for Aaron as he needs it. But right now, Aaron must have mixed feelings toward Robert. He trusted Robert with how Gordon repeatedly raped him, because he desperately needed to tell someone. At the same time, he hasn't forgotten how Robert has emotionally abused him, so he's not ready to trust Robert with his affections. I assume they'll eventually reunite. But for now, Aaron isn't thinking about that, although it's clear (to us) what Robert wants . Meanwhile, stupid Chas talks as if it's already happened. Fortunately, though, this isn't a musical comedy.
+alwaysuseless Even if Aaron does stay with Robert, that doesn't mean anything will happen between them, especially not right away. Robert is being very patient and respectful. More importantly, Aaron isn't ready for anything to happen. He needs (1) support and (2) a place to live, and Robert is currently able to provide those things, while Chas isn't (mostly because she's not in the know about Gordon yet, I'm sure; she does love Aaron and will, I'm sure, be supportive when she finds out / believes it). I'll be interested to see how this storyline evolves the relationship (general term) between Aaron, Chas, and Robert.

well, when it comes to emmerdale the normal rules don't apply. nobody in this town and I mean nobody is a saint. everyone has their fair share of bad deeds. be it aaron, robert, chas, ross, cain or anyone. the only difference is the number of times. so whatever robert did in past to aaron or however aaron retaliated cannot be carved in a stone to judge the morality of their relationship. that cannot be the decisive factor whether they should be together or not. only their present can decide that. the depth of aaron' s love for robert was always clear. aaron loved robert very passionately and I don't think that ever went away because he still trusted him with something so private and devastating. robert's love for aaron was also clear but his self denial became the biggest hurdle. now that he has finally accepted they have a very good chance of a strong relationship with a good foundation unlike last time
+john Well said. And I appreciate gradual evolving of their relationship. They are still not on the same level. Aaron sees Robert as his mate while Rob is eagerly waiting to be his boyfriend. It is a slow, tentative dance in which Aaron is setting tempo.

+Matheus Lunguinho Everyone keeps going on about "poor" Aaron. He is 24 years old and is an adult, even if he doesn't act it. Its time he takes responsibility for his own life and actions. How is Chas supposed to act when she is told and sees only one side of the story? I personally think the best thing she said to Aaron was how they know where he gets his controlling and bullying nature. You could see how much that stung him when she made him see is actions and how he treats her. She has begged him to tell her and yet he decides not to open up. If he feels SO strongly about Gordon then he needs to give some real reason. I don't care if she is his mom, words and actions need to match up and right now he is not respecting her. Telling him that she feels it best he find some other place to live isn't abandoning him. There came a point in my own life that my parents said much the same thing, at first I was angry about it, but that soon changed and as time went on I saw their love was still there, I just needed to become an adult and take direction and control of my own life. Even animals eventually wean their young.

Aaron and Chaz have been down this road before, there's 2 possible outcomes out of this, either Chaz is going to regret what she did and beg Aaron to come back for whatever reason (probably Robert though) or she's going to find out the truth (not from Aaron) and beg him to come back after giving Gordon a piece of her mind. Also, she knows what kind of man Aaron is, even if she's uncertain of his motives, he always in some way has one and she should trust that... Anyway, really want to see how they'll deal with that and how Aaron having nowhere to go is going to make Robert and him closer :D

god this tiny bits or story line on Aaron driving me nuts. I want more and longer clips i watch the full episodes every day. the other story lines just don't have anything that interesting or if they do it's tid bits also. why not do 1 or 2 story lines per episode and each day feature a different group of people. Like do Aaron and chaz on mondays, then cain and mora tuesday and so on since the stories dont enter weave that much. reminds me of the cartoons i'd see as a kid like Jem and holograms where each was like 10 minutes then you'd see another cartoon for same amount of time so it was hard cause story just picks up speed and you have to waite. I'd rather watch and hour or even a half hour on Aaron every monday then just 5 minutes or less each day.

what really baffles me is that being a mother she should have seen the obvious signs and detected something really wrong with aaron. I mean I know aaron has done things before but this time his behavior is quite extreme. I mean he can't even look at gordon properly let alone talk to him. also his anger and rage towards gordon is far too extreme to be categorized as normal aaron behavior when he does not like something. chas herself said that aaron was very close to his dad and she never wondered how can aaron hate gordon so much? so far she can't be excused just because she does not. know

I don't mind Robert and I'm so happy he's there for Aaron and finally respecting him, and the little caress on the shoulder was nice, but I won't be impressed if they're using this rape storyline just for a Robron reunion! It shouldn't be about them..or the public displays of affection etc. Robert can be the supporting character like Chas and Cain etc. but I want to see this story being mainly about evil Gordon getting his commupance and Aaron getting justice! But then I guess I'm on the same page as the majority of the UK and come here to catch up on what I've missed lol whereas the majority subscribed to this channel are here for all the PDA stuff hahah :)
Well they had to think of something to bring them back together. Honestly, I am not a fan of sexual abuse plot. It feels forced and farfetched.
+Tiff Chaffey Danny Miller said in a recent interview that they need to close one chapter (the rape storyline) before they open a new one (robron reunion), so I don't think they'll get back together until after all the stuff with Gordon is sorted. It's nice to see Robert being supportive though. And even though his romantic feelings are obvious now, it doesn't mean that they're gonna rush a reunion imo.

What Chas feels is totally understandable. I know they will work this out, they are two of the best characters put together and their brilliant and dysfunctional journey will continue. But Aaron never lets her be with any man in peace, nice man or not, while he has put her through so much all these last few years and she has fought for him constantly (talking since his coming out, not first when she was a bad mum) and made her worried sick, last straw getting back with Robert while denying Gordon (for all she knows). Katie´s "accident" anniversary is coming, they are already mentioning her more.

Should have happened before. Aaron needs to start taking care of himself, Chas and Paddy were disabling him to fully grow up. I hope Robert doesn't offer his space, although I am not sure where he resides. It's too soon for that kind of commitment. I really enjoyed mother/son argument who has the worse man.

I'm actually enjoying Robert's attention being 100% on Aaron at the moment, mainly because I think Aaron deserves someone who loves him more than anyone else and makes him their first priority. It must be very reassuring for Aaron to know that Robert is there for him, even if he doesn't want to persue anything at the moment.
That being said, I would also like for Robert to have some divorce drama, since it's been built up so much since the summer, but I don't think it will happen now with everything else that is going on. They would be allowed to file for a divorce this Friday, but with Robert being so preoccupied with Aaron I just don't think they will make the divorce a big deal, which is a bit anticlimatic imo. Hopefully they'll come back to it later because I want to see Robert fight for the business and stuff without just leaving peacefully.

The only two family members he has are almost never seen onscreen with him and are secondary characters. While Aaron always has things going on. Apart from the upcoming reunion with Robert he keeps having these other big stories. Since the end of the summer Robert has been truly put to rest. I also would like for him to get his own story. In fact, that´s how I would have prefered this to go: start new story arc for Robert and let them be truly separated, forever if possible :)

Chaz may have not been a good mum early in Aaron's childhood, but she's more than made up by being patient/tolerating so many years of Aaron's temper/emotional turmoil and legal problems, all the while spending endless time worrying about him and being supporting through his sexuality, relationships, and legal troubles...........Aaron's had it good living w/ mum and now it is time to cut to cord and live his life, instead of trying to bully and control his mum.........I agree with Chaz! Aaron realized is he as being an A-Hole for not supporting his mum (see the look on his stunned face) while acting selfish. While I like Aaron (and feel bad for him at times), good for Chaz for standing up for her self!

She has fought a lot for him. While my beloved Aaron never, absolutely never, approves any man Chas gets, nice (James) or not. It wasn't his greatest moment, but it was a realistic reaction (which is why the writers chose to do it. It wasn't at all about his character, but about showing what rape victims go through in a realistic manner) and that doesn't mean he loves him any less or is less trustworthy. Don't get me wrong, I know you don't like him and you have every right to feel that way, but there are plenty of reasons to dislike him without using that against him :)
