My exact thought!!! Unless it's like a soft lurex-type material, it seems like it would be scratchy!! If it IS soft, my suggestion would be a cardigan if there is enough material/yardage! Love a sparkly moment 😂❤

It reminds me of the hairband No-Face made for Chihiro at Zeniba's house in "Spirited Away!" It's sparkly and purple and just looks SO MAGICAL! A purse or something like that, with a matching hair accessory if possible, would be beautiful 😍

Depends in the texture and how it feels next to your skin. Is it soft? Silky? Scratchy? Itchy? Pokey?
@sharonwilbourne7256 pretty sure I felt this yarn in a shop a few days ago and it feels more like scratchy flexible plastic mesh than anything yarn like, you wouldn't really want to make anything wearable out of it apart from accessories like bags, belts etc.

This is a very beautiful yarn. 😯 I use tensile from Christmas to add a candy effect to my yarn. Also, I've used glitter foil but it's harder to use because you have to cut the foil into long thin strans like hair. I have been crocheting and knitting since I was seven years old and I am 42 now. I am very good at weaving. It's my favorite craft. 😊 I can make lace items from the thinnest yarns and tiniest needles. The smaller the needle and thinner the yarn the happier I am. 😁 I am better at making tiny details look realistic. I can draw anything as well. I really love creating stuff. I wish I could afford more yarn though. I could make lots of items and sell them. I could make realistic animals from yarn and make them clothes, and turn them into character designs. Money is a problem so I can't do what I want. I have to budget. I like watching RUclips videos about weaving so I can enjoy my favorite craft when I don't have enough money to buy what I need. I am going to be looking for glitter yarn next time I go shopping though. This video has inspired me to look at other types of yarn. Maybe it will be easier than using tensile and glitter foil. 😂

I taught myself how to crochet during COVID. I am now working on the biggest project yet, a sweater for my husband! It’s done with a 4mm hook, and while it will be a lot of work, I’m already through the first ball of yarn. I love seeing hearing that other fiber artists have enjoyed this hobby for so long! I know some yarn is expensive, but I hope that you are able to keep doing what you love for the rest of your life ☺️🧶

It’s such a fun, bright yarn and sometimes you need that during the coldest, greyest days of Winter.
As long as it’s a soft yarn. If not I’d make an accessory, like a bag!

To be honest that yarn does not look suitable for cold weather clothing. It does not look like it holds any warmth or protects from the harsh weather 😅
@@SeptembersOblivion you'd be right, it's more like a tube of plastic mesh you'd expect to find covering cables than any normal yarn you'd want against your skin. A bag is one of the few wearable items you'd probably want to make from it
Honestly I'd say they nailed making it look like candy, because while I know full well it's yarn, I still want to put it in my mouth.

I've never seen yarn like this! Definitely something candy theme and the technique it's up to you the one you like most!
So pretty! I think something like an accessory would really bring out the aesthetic part of the yarn 🤷 but accessory is so broad. Idk what would be 'best'. If you have a limited amount, without being able to grab more to finish the project, I'd stuck to something that you know you could finish with 🤔

It reminds me of Japanese silver-lined glass beads. The inside is coated with silver, and the outside is colored glass with some degree of transparency, so instead of the glass reflecting the color of the thread, it reflects the silver inside of the bead. Now that I think about it, it does sometimes look like a tiny jelly candy!
