ORIGINAL VIDEO - • Doubts about Timbaland... MAIN CHANNEL - @Weaverbeats EDITED BY @kickcloudstv - / kickcloudstv #musicproduction #musicproducer #musicproducers
Listen up everyone….. Make music because you love to. If you believe in yourself create your own lane somehow in some way and leave these money hungry assholes alone. And stop looking for someone’s approval, your approval is ALL THAT MATTERS.
This just sounds like trying to get placements in the music business in general, minus the membership element. A&R’s don’t listen to shit and the feedback is virtually always nonsense, that is, if you get any.
I'll save you the two hours. Basically CLAWoo was hired to edit an interview video of Timbaland. He did it and never got paid. Not only that, they wanted to buy his channel (with a very lowball offer) and he refused. So they got his channel taken down.
CLA Woo made a an entire beat by just cutting and pasting audio from one of Timabland's live streams, then posted it on his channel, then J Cole made a whole song from the audio posted by CLA Woo. I think J Cole ended up buying the beat from timbo but Timbo was still mad at CLA Woo
On thing that is sadly prevalent in the producer community is naivety. Understandably, everyone wants to make it and they seek out shortcuts like beat club. Theres SO many scams out there and people fall for them left and right.
What happens if somehow Cardie B goes and writes a hit with your track? I doubt they're just going to give you royalties. They'd probably pull a fast one and try to buy the beat, rights and everything, for one low ball lump sum. Or talk you into giving it to them free for the exposure.
I mean that type of exposure would be kinda lit. But a lot of artists start out doin shit free. That's how they build relationships. A lot of times that's more important. Obviously the smart thing is offering backend deals tho
@@jeremiahsymonette4781 Thats true when it's you and the artist directly or thru their management... But in this case the one building the relationship would be them tho, not the producer.
Beat Club isn't a scam. Its an opportunity for producers that are at a certain tier level of skill and talent. Here's the thing if you can't engage the listener within 5 seconds its deemed trash. Generated responses isn't a bad thing if they have to go through thousands of submissions. $250 isn't enough to get Cardi B to listen to your music.
Why on earth would a producer offer “opportunities” to other competitors (producers)to take money out of his pocket when he can just supply the beats himself for said opportunities and take the entire bag. I know top hollywood film composers who take music from all over the world for would be composers trying to get their foot in the door who submit their work just to communicate with the Hollywood composer and receive nothing apart from a potential future opportunity when they will instead be ignored or replaced with the next freelance composer out of Eastern Europe trying to catch a break. The people at the top don’t need you and they know you need them.
They "Playlist" beats, then send said playlist to the A&R for the specific project. So, multiple ppl have to approve your music. I have had a similar experience to bro. I've had a few beats playlisted, but not make the final cut. I do feel there is value in the membership, and have made some great connections in the industry. That said, the producers I see getting the placements, are already award winning producers.
Exactly! You hit the nail on the head bro! I’ve submitted over 60 beats for placements & every single one got rejected. It’s very geared towards industry producers who already have placements & plaques.
them playlisting your beat doesnt mean they shared it with the A&R/Supervisor,etc who is working with Beatclub...it means they saved it to an internal playlist for the opportunity you submitted for and its in consideration. I'd be willing to bet thats where your submission dies. there's likely a shortlist from the playlist that actually gets submitted if its submitted at all
"Playlisting" is what you submit to. You "may be chosen" to be placed on a short playlist that will be played to the artist during their beat selection sessions. So you're paying, for a chance, to maybe potentially get a chance.
Geezzz... If there was a Grammy for naiveness these guys would win it. Beatclub might land you something but chances are pretty low, no matter how good you are and lets face it most people arent that good.
🤦🏻♂ He's probably saying "playlisted" because when A&R is gathering songs (beats) to submit to artists or their managers they make playlists for them. Also, most RUclipsrs (just like any other tv, movie, play, or musical) use a script. Many RUclipsrs read from a script.
I'm not that comfortable yet in from of the camera, and I do use a script, indeed. I'm not a native English speaker, so it helps to write down everything in a script first. But I know it can still come over a little like I'm reading it too much. I'm trying to improve :')
Most of these producers aren’t good, if you can’t get a placement outside of beatclub then there’s no guarantee that you’ll get it in beatclub, $250 or not
Im a Timbaland Fan but the way i see that BeatClub concept is that he basically takes your ideas if he likes its. I mean he is apart of the industry so i wouldnt put it past him to do another Puff Daddy
The replies come so fast because for 3 out of 4 weeks of the month they dont have any room on the playlist. They resort to these submissions when theyre short on beats to show the artist that week. If they know they dont need 4 filler beats that week theyll politely decline 100% of submissions to keep their response rate up.
Fun fact superstar o got his NLE placement. So if you put the work in and have a community you’ll more then likely get a placement through beatclub. The fact that dudes are upset only going part time is wild and very accurate to todays era of beat makers. Entitled and low effort for a high reward 😂🤦🏾♂️
Duh... everyone trying to make money in this recession! The fact that Timbaland was allegedly presenting "opportunity" to unrepresented unsigned talent in a highly "gatekept" industry should have raised flags.
I work close with bigger artists and I can tell you they have their producers numbers and aren’t looking for new producers EVER. So yea… if you want more placements try to work with people like me (a recording engineer at a studio) if you’re actually around the artists then you’ll get more placements
Were people really not thinking this is what Beatclub was going to be? That's the thoughts that I had when I got that e-mail. I don't get how someone would think that this is like a guarantee that you are going to get put on. Did people really think it was as simple as: 1. Pay $250 2. Submit to every oppurtunity that comes up 3. Within 3 months, get placement 4. Become the new Timbaland
Timbo used to do a live stream where he would play the club members submissions and critique them. Maybe that’s what they mean by playlisted? The guy making the video doesn’t seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer also. I listened to some of the beat club live streams. Most of the submissions that they play are absolute trash. Very very few the club members make music that would ever get used anywhere.
this is what playlisted means...BC 'A&R's' liked your track and added it to their internal playlist for that particular opportunity. It doesn't mean they are sharing it with the artist/label/brand etc.
Might be true but honestly what did he think? He would pay $250 and Timmy would lace him with a major placement after you submit 9 beats.😂 Lower them expectations buddy. Beat Club is not the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Let’s be honest , if your music is good it will get playlisted , your music has to stand up against a lot of talented producers, industry producers! & you have to stand out! It only takes 15 seconds or less for a A&R to tell if they’ll like the beat!
Beat Club is like any other platform, the more you pay the more you get, and if your not ready to spend thousands on promotion and ads your not going to get anywhere simple as that. I wont join Beatclub because your no more likely to get discovered on then then on soundcloud or youtube.
First i would say you need to already have some type of online presence or somewhat of a established name in the producer community to really get placements through beatclub.... Not really fair seeing that this was branded as anyone from anywhere can get the same chances. But its really no different than any other "club", the people they know and the friends or associates of the people they know will always get 1st and 2nd dibbs. With that said I listened to Brad Dassey's music and i see why he got the feedback he did. Music is subjective and taste based. but his music sound is very generic and his style doesn't fit anything they would look for based on the artist pool they network with. You got know the audience your presenting your music to also. He might have success in other areas musically, but even i can hear he doesn't have what they would be looking for at beatclub
see I never talked to timbaland i talked to the People he worked with and became friends with em on twitter Now im working of a beat with 1 of timbos beat makers after they heard my beat tape Timbo is basically pulling a andrew tate somebody needs to have coffezilla investigate his "Beat club"
The real questions is, how good were his beats? Are they fitting to what Tim would approve to put behind the label beat club. Tim is a guru when it comes to hearing hits from the first seconds of a beat, do u really think he is going to approve every song that is summited. Come on now.
This guys channel name is "Sir Freak" check out his most recent hip hop song name Bloodthirst. The drum groove is way off, some people have it some don't.
Honestly forget te fact of beats alone. They supposed to have special sessions to help you with your productions to get placements. They doent work. I have had a number of playlisted songs and no respone to what happened or anything (no email or response) And when you email the response time is forever. They are trash andI been with them for 3 years. Glad my terms end this year.
Timbaland isn't a real producer so why you trying learn anything from somebody who got lucky and started making beats when the skill level was so low... making beats in the late 90s to early 2000z was just mashing a mpc and stealing a sample
No way this comment isn't satire. Timbaland is easily top 5 producers of all time and you can tell who made the beat immediately when you hear it. something that is lost these days and hey buddy, people do the same thing now they just rebranded it as "loops." they also don't have to physically get into their car, go to a record store, buy a random record in HOPES they find something cool, scan the whole record and then actually work to flip something from vinyl. Much more difficult and they did it FAR better back then. People literally just load in three loops now (drums included) and call themselves a producer.
Lol ya this dude seems butthurt he didn't get playlisted. I'm glad you're saying they're being foolish. Not a fan of beatclub but wtf do you expect? Everyone has been saying it seems shady
BusyWorksBeats is trash man. I'm goona show you how to make a nick mira beat! Here is a loop I payed $100 for, I put gross half time on it, wooooaaaaah! Nick mira beat
