What is different in the between older and newer generation Dandy Portable Air Conditioners

  • We explore a common but 10 year old Danby DCPAC10030 Portable Air Conditioner and then we compare it to a brand new Danby DPA120B8WDB 6 Portable Air Conditioner .

    that botootm filter is very usefull in other portable ac there is no bottom filter for intake air that goes out and you have to dissasemble the whole unit to clean.

    where I can buy the tube for draining water? I lost it and in fact, I never used it and now, just I saw your video. It should be all the time connected when is ON right?

    I realize this is 2 years old but i just bought a used danby like your old one and it leaks too! Where did you put the hose?

    Realize it will depend on a number of variable, but, how often are you emptying the water?

    Mieda/Dandy has dual hose system called duo hose the sacc/btu are very close in the numbers so it's very efficient plus it uses an inverter vs a compressor. There are plenty of RUclips videos of people adding an extra hose to the single hose portables increasing the efficiency.

    I have the DPAC10030 just like your older one. It's leaking water from the bottom,(the sump) I assume. How do you attach a hose to drain off excess water. Please explain, or show on video.

      I use a towel underneath the bottom drain to absorb the water. I drain it at least once a day.
      There's a lot of water that comes out of there .
