The deeper message: TomSka (the creator) had mental issues as time went on including depression, alcoholism and losing his friends. He felt unmotivated to make more videos but due to his popularity, he felt that his career would end if he stopped. In the end, he believes that making more videos are more challenging, which inspires him to not give up and to keep going.

This song was deep, he really dove into depression when his friends left him, I can’t imagine what he must’ve felt. Probably because I’ve never made friends 😀 also i noticed in the muffins dance routine 3 of the things it did was dab, then swing it’s hand to its head, which looks like drinking and drop down, which looks like it means he dabs because he had fun or likes dabbing or memes, them started drinking and eventually felt like dying or that he felt practically dead. It's not lit, it's muffin time.
So what I'm getting from this: The muffin represents the animator. Muffin time represents everytime he has to animate. Animating is really time-consuming and stressful and when there is any sort of screw up you have to fix, you literally want to die. This dude is tired and definitely needs a break, but he loves doing it so he won't stop maybe because of his inner child {explains the child-like voice; he could've given him a deeper voice like he did the potato}. Which is why everyone isn't eating the muffin, his childhood will never die because everyone wants more of the videos so no one will kill off his inner child being the one thing sparking his passion for animating the asdf series. Speaking of inner child a lot of these jokes hit all of us because it's probably some stupid, yet hilarious jokes we'd think of as a kid.
