You could get much more energy from the same water flow if the pipeline started at the upper head level and went pressurized all the way down to the powerhouse. Maybe a pelton turbine would be even more efficient than Francis in such case. Trust me

Hanya saja rasa2nya potensi energi banyak yang hilang, menurut saya, entah teori ini benar atau tidak, sebaiknya dari mulai bendungan disalurkan pipa tertutup, maka menjadikan tekanan air menjadi lebih kuat. dan ketika ke turbin pipa diperkecil, maka tekanan makin berlipat. Satu lagi pipa pembuangan air dari turbin kebih besar dari pipa input, sehingga hambatan putaran turbin makin kecil menjadikan putaran lebih cepat. Jika salah harap dikoreksi..

Why didn't the engineers place the supply pen-stocks at the first level water supply, higher in elevation? The design lost a lot of potential energy by placing them lower in elevation.
@@AngelLestat2 Yeah. I assumed when i started watching that they'd have figured out the ideal way to make cheep and effective power. I'm no engineer, but it looks like a tonne of work, materials and land area. But, nice animation assuming he wasn't going for perfect realism. I think the loopy loop at the end to run the turbines would either have very little water pressure /power, or else the pressure would burst those pipes simply because when you water is moving in a certain direction it will resist a change in direction. Unless i suppose you could have a lot of water pressure at slow speed. But i was still curious the path of the water from the loopy loop to the exits.

This is not just a case of "not the best cost effective option", it goes way beyond that.. it is just stupid, ignoring the basics points on hydro plants and physics.

A mini power plant would be a car or truck dynamo (alternator) hooked up to a to a small turbine driven by a creek stream... You’r simulation is a medium size community power plant.

All that concrete is a completely waste of money!! They just need to reach that height with the same pipe, they would get 2 times more power at much lower cost. because they are incredibly stupid, with a pipe from the upper stream, they would get at least 2 times the power output with way less cost.
