A point that goes unmentioned by lots of folks is how thin the Dandong movement is compared to ETA and Miyota movements. And the bracelet is really pretty damn good, chamfered links, high polish, microadjust. Beats out tons of bracelets in similar or higher price brackets
Nobody bats an eye when a VC overseas comes with a no hacking movement but when something like this is delivered with no hack, everyone loses their mind 😬
@AZPB12 lol I don't know when I reviewed my overseas, the watch fans came out of the woodwork to tell me thier 2824 hacks and it's a joke that my VC didn't lol
That intro was heads and tails above what anyone is doing in the YT watch sphere right now. Even channels that have dedicated, paid, teams of videographers. Well done Bruce! The watch is trying a bit too hard for someone like me, but kudos to AW for going bold in color and design.
Pretty much most of the money is for the dial. It takes the same master craftsman 10 hours to hand turn a single dial on a rose engine and if he messes up, it gets tossed and he has to start over on a new one.
Congrats to their PR team. Everyone and their dog are covering this watch. I just don't see the value in this. At BelCanto and used Breitling/Tudor/Omega money, it's not there... And that movement...
I want to like this watch. My biggest issues with it are the poor finishing on the indices and handset, and the terrible movement. At this price point and with the low cost of Chinese manufacturing, I’d expect Rhodium plating on the dial elements, and a free-sprung balance with a high level of detail on the caliber. Brellum have pristine looking calibers at this price point.
@@BruceWilliams I love your coverage of Brellum pieces. You honestly cover the coolest watches. Whenever there’s a fringe piece from a high end or micro brand, you always seem to have a review 😂.
Gorgeous watch, great artistry, I wouldn't mind wearing one. My big hangup is the Chinese movement used doesn't have hacking seconds. For a $3K+ watch? C'mon, some of us actually care about setting the time precisely

Exactly people are stupid. The movement is actually really good in these for the price. Way ahead of any miyota
@@matttheoneonly6617Which part is better than Miyota?

How about that intro? This was a beauty to film and photograph
This is a beautiful watch. What a killer bracelet! I'd buy that.
What an amazing piece! Love that dial

The one man show teaches the pros how it's done lol thank you sir
Awesome watch 3500 these days will get you a few pieces of lumber and some pavers for the patio
Hi Bruce what’s your wrist size?
$3500?? That's crazy. The finishing doesn't even look impressive at all to me.
should see the other reviews. Its actually really good (edit: really good for titanium)

Finishing is excellent everywhere except the movement
I owned one for a brief period (Blue dial). The box was cool. That’s all I have to say about it.

Send me the link to the dog review, I want to watch that
I really like it but putting money down today and waiting until Spring of 2025 is a deal breaker
Yeah, I am not a fan of this method of funding a production
Everything about this watch is great....except the movement. No hacking???
Yeah, needs a better movement
VC overseas comes with a no hacking movement
@@TheMrleeyang so it's an event bigger waste of money....got it
Great design and build quality. Just the movement let’s it down...

Big fan of Brellum. I own the TC Moonphase

No way I’d spend my $3600.00 on a watch and manufacture like this. I don’t see the value prop.

Thats some dodgy finishing.
Who on earth is paying $3500 for a watch with a ding dong movement?
hundreds honestly. Thats the current sales figures 3 days into the launch.
@@TheMrleeyang they go quite high in the secondary market also. Especially the "limited" ones.
