We dance for those who can not dance, for peace, for spiritual reasons, for celebration, for worship, for joy, and to strengthen tribal relationships!! The dance is not just a dance but a celebration of life and thankful praise to the creator that puts the sound in our ears, the breath in our lungs, and the site in our eyes!!! Sand for peace, love, hope, joy, and worship due unto the one that gives you life!!!!

I learned this early in my life``.The Dance" is beautiful. My daughter fell in love with it from a PBS special her dad recorded for me. That is when I fell in love with Robert Mirabal. Yes!!. the regalia is not a costume. The bead work is handed down through the family,and each part,and piece tells a story and has special meaning.
My wife and I will be on the road soon and we will be doing the dance too, She is Mohawk, I am Apache, Dine, Yaqui, Aztec, we are having a traditional Native wedding under Grandfather Moon, If We do not see you in this life, we will see you at the campfire in the sky.

I remember watching this with my parents when it was being advertised on the telly years ago & I begged them to buy the signed CD & VHS for me. I still have the VHS on my shelf and I recently started listening to the CD in my car again. Thanks for the upload of the video & the memories and inspirations that came along with the song.
