haha appreciate it man! Back in these days, my main rhythm tone was just the Crazy Train preset on my amp and I just kept tweaking it as time went on. That was literally it lol. Now my tone is a bit more complicated and it'd be a short story just to explain it. :D
MysticGuitar77 crazy train?! Holy crap man... my Blackstar V2 amp has a preset that sounds just like crazy train but it’s not as crisp and beautiful as yours.
do i have to do anything special with my guitar to put it in drop b and make it sound good or can i just tune it down low n play it? ive played it in drop c but been afraid to go lower, i have an ltd m200 with locking tremolo. i tried to go drop b once but it didnt sound that great n strings felt super loose but maybe thats jst what drop b feels like?
You need to use bigger gauge strings to get down to Drop B. I use medium top/heavy bottoms (11-56 gauge). Just using a regular set of 10's like most guitars won't cut it and the strings will be way too loose to play. But, you can't just put on bigger strings, especially with a floating bridge. The intonation, string height, the springs in the bridge, and neck action will all need to be adjusted to suite the bigger strings and sometimes the nut and saddles need to be filed a bit so the strings will fit. It's quite a bit of work especially for guitars with floating bridges and costly if you don't know how to do it yourself and get a tech to do it for you. A good tech will charge about $80 for a standard set-up.

Just discovered this band through Spotify, and even though I'm not fond of metal, I'm liking this band. The riff as well as the chorus won me over
GS is more of a rock band with metal elements thrown in. I guess they'd be clumped into the vague 'alt-metal' category.
