Lily feels really underwhelming against higher hp brawlers. She completely relies on the damage star power to get kills and isnt even the best option
I've even defeated her as gene a couple of times... she's soooo vulnerable to the slightest crowd control.

Interestingly, the two majorities are concentrated in tier b and tier A, and the minority in tier F and tier D, tier D composed mainly of brawlers who were good not long ago, and took Nerfs(Less barley)
I would argue Doug is great as an anti-assassin brawler that can protect more venerable carries. You should never lose to an Edgar or a Leon coming up on a teammate with a gadget. Sticking close to a thrower and help push up I’ve found works pretty well depending on the comp.
Edgar counters you with shield gadget. Edgar is a monster against no cancelation brawlers.
I agree, as a person who plays Doug often, I see many people play him as a tank instead of supporting his teammates
I agree qith what bobby said about charlie in his tier list. Now that her range is less she can get her yoyo back sooner and it makes her much more of a auto aim mash brawler than before and punishes less for missing.

That's because they meant Janet's super to be used mainly to pressure opponents rather than as an escape plan.
If that is the intended idea it needs a rework just make the player able to move freely and drop bombs with the attack button
I feel like El Primo’s HC should have stunned or gain health.
Like heal by 25% of max health for each target or stun for 0.5 seconds.
Give it a new name as well like
Ring Knockdown for stun and Atmos-smear for heal. And in the original it had a larger radius so give it that.

There are a lot of reasons to not trust adrian for balance changes. No Frank or Chester buff yet and how Lou's base stats were nerfed when his HC was broken. Even for other brawlers, things which doesn't matter (Janet's Super damage for example) are changed.

@Walrus5 he was worse than Kit on release. Literally could 2 shot every brawler in close distance. Not to mention one of his supers the stun one had 2.2k damage and more than 2 seconds stun duration. His attack damage of one of the bells were almost 2k. With the first star power 4 bells × 1.7k deals 6.8k and that's only 1 shot

amber is one of the most underrated brawlers which i see almost no one pick in ranked. for example on every heist map in rotation she is an absolute demon with dancing flames + shes so consistent in every other gamemode (maybe not knockout).
they should probably add some mobility to doug super, that won't make him viable competitively but a bit more fun for the casual playbase
They have that for the 1st star power, but it should be baseline atp
i might not be the target audience and this might be too much editing to ask for but an icon of the brawler you are talking about on sreen would be really helpful for a newer player like me who doesnt know all the names. i am trying to figure out from the gameplay but its hard especially with skins.
EDIT: just got to the part where you show the tierlist after each segment. thats quite helpful
they really need to revert the super charge nerfs and switch it onto the HC charge rate instead... maisie and lou were broken because of their hc not their super-plus, these changes were done before supercell decided it was okay for brawlers to have different HC charge rates

As a gene main, I am glad gene got hyper, its honestly so good. Basically a guaranteed pull which is just amazing, many times i mindlessly aimed in the general direction the gem carrier and it just never misses

Idk if people have noticed this, but Janet's super REcharge rate has increased proportionally to the super damage buff. Now it takes 6 hits to fully REcharge her super instead of 8 previously.

What would make barley good and another really good brawler balanced is switching barley and pipers gadget because you can rename the piper gadget to sticky dough and barleys new gadget to stomach ack which knocks back and slows hhee

I actually used Maisie in KO in ranked and it was pretty good. I used the Pinpoint Precision SP and I could deal 2,5k damage with one shot. I think it's the best option when you face aggressive brawlers because of her gadget.

Frank with mutation is actually top 10 brawlers he move so fast and can break walls with main attack

I am far far away from pros, but on low tier I like Darryl and Doug to help the very aggressive and desperately Hypercharge seeking randoms.
In different ranks the brawlers have different importance. This is true for kit in duels too.
Really love your videos Spence! While they might really be good I think it’s hard to carry with Byron or Gene, especially bad randoms.
Great video! Your tier list was pretty good, but you definitely did underrate a lot of brawlers (such as Bonnie and Griff). I hope SC does something to make this meta more balanced in the next update. Here are my proposed balance changes. Let me know what your thoughts are and feel free to share these if you liked them.
Angelo
Movement speed decreased from Very Fast to Fast
Empower Star Power healing decreased from 600 to 500 per second
Melodie
Health decreased from 4100 to 3900
Sandy
Hypercharge rate decreased from 60% to 50%
Hypercharge Super no longer silences enemies for 0.5 seconds
Piper
Auto Aimer Gadget no longer activates Snappy Sniping Star Power
Frank
Decreased attack delay time from 1.3 to 1.1 seconds
OR Increased main attack range from 6 to 6.67 tiles and Super range from 7 to 7.67 tiles
OR Frank can now move while attacking (similar to Ash)
The additional health from Frank’s Sponge Star Power increased from 1400 to 1700 health
Power Grab Star Power will now also give Frank a 10% movement speed boost on top of the damage boost upon defeating an enemy
Power Grab Star Power duration decreased from 12 to 10 seconds
Active Noise Canceling Gadget’s immunity to crowd control effects increased from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds
Health decreased from 7000 to 6300
Main attack damage decreased from 1240 to 1200
Super damage decreased from 1240 to 1200
Hank
Super charge rate from fully charged attack: 4 to 3 hits
Hank will now only be visible in bushes after his main attack is charged more than 50%
It’s Gonna Blow Star Power speed boost increased from 10% to 15% when Hank’s main attack is charged over 80%
Take Cover! Star Power damage reduction shield now lasts for an additional 2 seconds after Hank stops standing next to a wall
OR Take Cover! Star Power now activates when Hank is within 2 tiles of a wall instead of having to be right next to it
Chester
Hit needed to charge Super: 7 to 6 hits
Main attack damage increased from 640 to 670 per projectile
OR Reload speed decreased from 1.9 to 1.8 seconds
Jawbreaker Super damage increased from 200 to 500
OR Super projectile speed increased from 3000 to 3300
and stun duration increased from 1 to 1.5 seconds
Candy Beans Gadget healing increased from 420 to 448-560 and now scales with Power Levels
Penny
Health increased from 3200 to 3300
Main attack damage increased from 980 to 1020
Gus
Main attack damage increased from 1000 to 1040
Healing from spirits increased from 800 to 900
Gus’s spirits will now drop as soon as they reach max distance or hit a wall
Barley
Super projectile speed increased from 1504 to 1700
Ash
The amount of damage taken needed to charge Ash’s full rage bar reduced from 125% to 100% of his total health

Main attack damage increased from 980 to 1020
Shelly
Health increased from 3700 to 3900
Increased Hypercharge multiplier from 30% to 35%
Surge
Super charge rate is now based on Stage level: 2-4 hits
Increased base movement speed from 650 to 700
Surge’s To the Max! Star Power reworked from making his main attack split when hitting walls to making his main attack split upon reaching max distance or when hitting walls every 5 seconds

Gained the Tank trait - charges Super from damage taken
OR Gained the Buzz trait - charges Super from staying near enemies
Main attack healing increased from 600 to 720
Grom
Hits needed to charge Super: 6 to 5 hits

Speed while Super is active increased from 1800 to 2400
Increased Hypercharge multiplier from 35% to 40%
Maisie
Slightly increased Super recharge rate
(It will now take Maisie only 1 ammo to fully recharge her Super is she hits two enemies with it)
Pinpoint Precision Star Power now makes her main attack deal up to 25% extra damage at max distance, based on distance traveled
OR Pinpoint Precision Star Power reworked to Faster Fuel: Pressure rocket now travels at a 10% faster projectile speed
Crow
Health increased from 2400 to 2600
Lou
Hits needed to charge Super: 8 to 7 hits
Main attack damage increased from 440 to 460 per projectile
Hypercharge multiplier decreased from 40% to 35%
Tara
Reload speed increased from 2 to 1.9 seconds
Black Portal Star Power health increased from 3000 to 4000
and damage increased from 800 to 1000
Healing Shade health increased from 2400 to 3000
and healing increased from 400 to 500
BTW, I know there are actually more brawlers that need changes (such as Darryl), but they will probably need some sort of rework or Hypercharge to be good. Some other good options for Hank and Chester are giving Hank the Tank trait instead of one of the buffs, and making Bell-o-Mania baseline for Chester instead of giving him any of these buffs as it would improve him and make him feel more fresh. I would rework both of his Star Powers (since Sneak Peak is 🗑) and make his damage decrease at each stage to balance him out. I have included a couple options for some of these, so pick and choose the best ones.

While I agree with you on most of the takes here, I must argue that Griff is a high B to low S tier Brawler. The point you use to grade him as C is completely false, as he thrives in those 1 v 1 battles, especially with assassins and other close range brawlers, since his super and tight spread shotgun both deal insane single target dps. Even health isn’t an issue with his healing star power. It’s absolutely the most underrated brawler out there.

I mostly agree with everything. I would put Ruffs higher than C though. He’s used by pros quite a lot. The DPS is quite good if you hit both projectiles. Both gadgets and the super offer great utility to teammates

Chester has been so underwhelming for so long. And i think if they increase his supercharge, reduce his reload and buff the pop rocks super he would be excellent. As a Chester main i find that all of his supers separately are pretty weak. I think they need to all be able to stand on their own as a decent super for a brawler.

If you are just trying to get to masters and not push beyond that then imo doug is insane. Literally nobody in the ranks before masters knows how to play against doug at least in my experience. They just keep feeding him super and pick brawlers like edgar into him

As a person who used doug a lot as a beginner, he isn't bad because he does like 2k damage per ammo and with the gadget 4k to 10k in solo showdown, and he can heal, (doug is still not a amazing brawler but the disrespect is insane) and there are only a few downsides I can name like no hypercharge, same attack as jacky but still not deserving of f tier.

In my opinion Chester is C/lower B with extra bell sp he can counter like every tanker in the game + can also kill kit when kit jumps on him mostly and same with Edgar fr (Edgar is unplayable in rankeds tho but i see him as decent Kit/short range brawlers counter)
Janet isnt that bad imo, have game sense and be ready to use either long or close range and you can manage.
