Who else here skipped the concert part? Ferit and Nazli have gone through a lot of pain in the entire series. They should have at least been given more airtime for happy and sweet scenes in the final episode, not turning 3/4 of it into a concert and non-sense day dream. Anyway, I still love this series overall but minus the concert finale. Why did they have to turn the final episode into a concert? 😢

Didn't like the way the ending was rushed. I feel like the time took on the Hakan drama they could have used it to give a proper ending. Despite that I still found myself smiling ( after forwarding through all the singing). Pretty great drama, thank you for the English translation.

I watched Erkensi Kuş first - and I was and am thrilled. Can, Sanem, CeyCey, Leyla, Deren and all the other actors, the music - everything is wonderful, worthy of an Oscar. But I like Full Moon even better. Can Yaman is an excellent actor and one of the most beautiful. I like Ferit even better than Can Divit. Simply wonderful together with Özge. Too bad it ended when it was at its best.. Fatoş (Leyla in EK) is also a beautiful, top notch actress and singer. I love turkish series..❤❤❤❤

@@Salva10.06. I watched his viola series tbh just for him. But I felt he showed wonders in his acting skill in turkish series than viola. I mean multiple emotions he carry so effortlessly.. We ll just see the so called character Yalin aras, Ferit Aslan and Can divit there and not can yaman. Accepted he performed great in viola but no scope is wat I felt.
Dolunay is one of the best series I've watched. Ahh Ferit yaa, what a man you are. Nazli and Ferit's chemistry, along with Bulut's acting skills, was really impressive. Overall, the entire cast did an amazing job. The most important thing is this drama has my favorite comment section. These viewers noticed every little detail, and in every episode, there is someone who comments the exact thing that I'm thinking. I saw this kind of comment section in Kiralik Ask (Short Version), but this one is still better. THANK YOU FOR THE ENGLISH SUBTITLES. I'm pretty sure I'll be back at least 3 or 4 times.

Then when they were getting divorced she was already expecting. If they hadn’t made up we would have seen another 10 episodes with the story of a baby that was born without Ferit’s knowledge. I’m glad the writers chose to end it with this episode. My favorite character of this series is Fatos. Just love her.
I felt a little sad in this final episode, because it did not meet my expectation. I'm expecting
the camera will focus 90% on the super sweetness of the couple Ferit and Nazli while enjoying the band. A rush ending also frustrate me a little bit. But still I love Ferit Aslan and Nazli.

All different ones, Yalin Arad, Freitas Aslam, Can Divit, ozgur and latest Francisco. He is superb. No one is his parallel in show biz today including Hollywood and Bollywood both
This ending was not satisfying at all :(( After all those complications we deserved a 2 episode ending where we as the viewers get closure and peace. For example;
- them mourning the loss of Zaynab and Demir again, as well as finding where Tahir was buried, poor guy did so much and died in such a cruel way for him to not even be remembered esp by Ferrit
-court for hakan and Demet... what sentence did they get?? how did Hakan get exposed for the drug case, abuse and death of Tahir etc? did he try to shift the blame to Demet is well?
-Nazli and her mother in law bonding, establishing a connection and mother in law apologising to her..
-nazli surprising Ferit during New Years eve with baby news
- ENDING; all together having lunch at the farm house (baby shower).
The ending lacked substance, it did not feel complete.
Most of us are not satisfied with the ending they would have done that than ended it full of music.

This "snow" scene shows how much attention Ferit pays to what Nazli says and wants as well as her feelings. To name a few, 1) when he upset her after the night with Mr. Nakatani-probably the first time that he apologized to anyone, 2) she said with his home and view she would work from home and only go to the office, if necessary, 3) she talked about her dream "proposal", and she wanted snow for the new year-he made them both happen. Let's not forget that she got him to play the piano, something that I doubt anyone else would have been able to do.
I also love that time Nazli convinced Ferit to go to the fruit market with her. Ferit helped her carry the fruits. It was a beautiful scene.

1) Dolunay was canceled due to low ratings. Canceled Turkish television series DON'T get second seasons.
2) The series aired six years ago. It would be impossible to bring the entire cast together again.
●And if they could gather all the cast: Everybody wants to see Ferit and Nazlı have their baby-basically continue from the New Year's Eve party-and see adorable Bulut with his sibling. But the actor who played Bulut is SIX years older already...hello puberty, growth sports, voice changes.
3) Can moved to Italy in January 2021 following the abrupt canceling of Bay Yanliş at 14 episodes after it had been announced it would get a full season (35-40 episodes), where his career continues to thrive. He has no incentive to return to the grueling filming schedules of Turkish television series.

But season two could start with Nazli's pregnancy growing and her showing a baby bump, and then she gives birth, then they fast forward to the child growing to meet Bulut's current age, so they fast forward to the child already being six years old...and then continue from there. A season 2 could work, nothing is impossible, the crew would just have to be exceptionally creative, as is required for every great series/ movie

Takes me back to when I first watched this series, it kept me up for nights…I’ve never even stayed up that much to study for an exam!And this is the only series of Can Yaman that kept me up, only series that had me so emotionally involve, only series that makes me love all the actors/actresses, they all did a great job 👏🏾…of course I’ve watched all three of his famous Turkish series…now I can finally say that Dolunay is special, this series won my heart ❤️

I'm beyond happy that Can and Ozge made me get into Turkish shows. I recently, watched Mr. Wrong and I loved them there, Imagine my surprise when I found out they also worked together in Donulay and I had to watch it as well. Dolunay has an amazing storyline and a great cast, every one of them was so unique from the start to the end. I think the thing that I enjoyed the most was the fact that Nazli and Ferit didn't have any explicit scenes but you could feel the chemistry between them, by the way they stared at each other. Can did an excellent job playing Ferit everything was on point in the way that he moved, and his facial expressions were unique. Then you see him playing Ozgur in Mr. Wrong and it is a whole different universe there. He's not only looks he's got talent that's why he's so successful in everything he does. Also, Özge is amazing she's beautiful she has the main character's aura I love her originality and how she expressed so much with her hands while having sweet moments with Ferit.
I'm so grateful that the Brazilian streaming bought Mr. Wrong so that I could learn a little bit of Turkish culture and I’m definitely in love. I’ll continue to watch other Turkish shows but my heart will always belong to Can Yaman and Özge Gürel I wish they could work together again in the future.
I’m definitely gonna rewatch Donulay and Mr. Wrong again.

Another viewer who finds Can Yaman's performance in Mr. Wrong a delight. This actor is unbelievably talented and the man is a chameleon in his ability to make himself over into someone completely different in each new role. Just finished watching Viola come il Mare and here he is cool, calm, just a bit aloof but with that glint of a scamp in his eyes. Love, love, love this actor. Turkish tv has become my only viewing venue.

This series kept me riveted! The twists and turns, the evil and the innocent. I don't know how many nights I stayed up to watch 6, 8, 10 episodes. I loved the role that Can Yaman played, and it wasn't all about his body! We need more serious films and drama series like this! I really hated that Hakan character! Everyone did a phenomenal job! Ozge's character in this drama was much better than in Bay Yanlis. Little Bulute was just the cutest thing ever and has a huge career ahead of him. Anyway, Dolunay was just fabulous!
I hope they will do the second series… but they have to shop Fatos and Ausman characters 😅😢

When Nazli and Ferit kissing each other in front of their friends, they're all cool with it, but when Ozgur and Ezgi kissing each other, their friends looked blushing and overwhelmed. Maybe this is why Dolunay way mature and coolest series than others.
Because they are married in this series while in Mr. Wrong they were not.
@@lutchellewu4595I second this. Plus in Bay Yanlis, Ezgi’s cousin and friend see Ozgur as a walking red flag since he’s a free bird with commitment issues who’s always flirting. And given Ezgi’s history with guys, they were just protective of her. They didn’t want her to get hurt again.
@@ashperditeBut I think that by the time Ozgur and Ezgi actually kiss in front of their friends, they’ve accepted that Ozgur is truly in love with her, and they’re all friends. It’s still sort of silly how they act. I believe the first kiss the friends witness is at her repeat birthday party. And Cansu, Ezgi’s cousin, sleeps with her boyfriend Levent regularly, so why is she all shy about a kiss anyway? It’s pretty much a big no-no to kiss on the mouth in public in Turkey, though, especially if they’re not married, so the characters always make a big deal over it.

I loved this series and I've watched it a few times too. I enjoyed the character of Nazli, a very kind, giving person and sometimes amusingly naive while Ferit was a much more deep thinker and not necessarily trusting of someone at first. Nevertheless, a great combination of the two characters and a very interesting plot. Well done!
This drama was so much like Bollywood movies, M&B stories, Arabian nights etc. Dream story beautifully written and played. Both lead characters were great to look at. I loved so many Nazli & Ferit moments. Worth watching. Loved it completely

What a brilliant cast & crew! They did such an amazing job in bringing us into the world of make-believe. The characters became so real that it was so easy to forget they were role-playing.
I have watched a lot of Turkish TV series & movies with English subtitles & although I wish the last episode was written better, Dolunay is a gem, a true masterpiece! It's my favorite, the one I keep watching over & over again & the only show that motivated me to learn the basic Turkish language.
Dolunay premiered in 2017 & it's hugely disappointing that to this day, the film production company has not come up with a Season 2 .
yes it is very sad they have not come with a season 2 and also yes the ending is kinda dissapointing its almost as if they ran out of content and ideas and just played music

I love this response in its entirety. The whole cast was wonderful. Romance is one's fantasy and this series and Crew gave the world an opportunity to all to see all emotions love, hate, jealousy, rage, and passion etc.
Yes, the acting was exceptional but lets not forget the music and songs at each emotional moment. Nazli helped Ferit to love and trust women again, or at least one woman. Ferit expressed himself through music. In Episode 63 Ferits birthday party (81 episiode version) the American song that played was "Lets Get Closer" by Atlantic Star. I love music like this from the 70's and 80's.
I agree that Episode 81 was different and left you hanging. Nazli told Ferit he was going to be a Father. Nazli told Ferit she will always love him and Ferit said forever. In my opinion, the song that defines them and at that moment should have been playing was the American song called "Always and Forever" by HeatWave. If you have never heard this song, please listen to the words.
It is Nazli's and Ferit's true love song.
I'd like to see a Season 2, especially Nazla, Ferit and Bulut and their continuing family.

Dolunay was canceled due to low ratings. (??!!!!) That's the reason for the rushed storyline wrap-up and the mostly music finale. Canceled Turkish television series don't get second seasons. They're tossed aside and everyone moves on to whatever comes next, but they don't get second chances.
The corner side outside the bar will be the most memorable place for Ferit and Nazli..it's the saddest and the happiest when they're together.

Also my favorite thing about Nazli is how much I can relate to her, my dream is to open my own restaurant and I’m in the culinary field I am currently working in a fine dining establishment kitchen, and expecting a child, I want to she her struggles as an expectant mom in the kitchen, my main obstacles is the heat and some strong smells like lobster, escargot, balsamic vinegar etc.
