    Just spent the last couple of hours servicing a 1985 slim turtle, this was such a helpful series! It seemed so daunting at the beginning but with this, it's a piece of cake

      Well done. it can be quite easy with the right attitude. Where it gets more interesting is seeing how accurate you can get them to run with good cleaning and oiling.

    Thank you so much for producing these absolutely outstanding guides, which enabled me to take apart a faulty 6309A movement and fix it. More than that though, you've introduced me to a new hobby that I can tell I'm going to enjoy and get a lot of satisfaction out of - Thank you so much, and keep up the great work!

    Followed this series and have now disassembled and reassembled two 6309s. The second was was a bit easier, but still followed your vids every step of the way. I'm well and truly hooked.
    This is a great mind tool, the concentration and skill level is immense. I can't tell you how much satisfaction it gives to complete the process. Misroscope and timegrapher are on my wishlist now, it's slightly frustrating not to be able to measure in real terms how you have done.
    Don't stop doing these, they are brilliant.

      My Retro Watches it’s a 6309-8950. It’s running really fast and is missing the crown and stem, though. Where would be a good place to buy new ones of these? Thanks.

    Thanks Mike, once I have all the right tools I will get one apart and get it back together again. At the moment I'm still afraid that I will put a screw in the wrong place. Not in the near future, but in a couple of month I will give it a try, Thanks again.

    Amazing videos. Thank you very much, following your guidance I was able to disassemble and reassemble completely my Seiko.
    However I got 2 issues : first I lost a screw (one of the two screws holding the date circle). Any idea where I could find some replacement screws?
    Second, the most annoying, the 2 screws which should hold the watch dial ... are not holding it. I suspect the dial is not original. Would you have any idea to solve this issue please?
    Thanks !!!

    • @MyRetroWatches
      @MyRetroWatches  2 года назад +1

      Hi thanks for the comment and im glad the videos helped you. For screws just try to pick up a cheap donor watch. you will find in vintage seiko most screws are the same thread. This site always has donors. speedtimerkollektion.com/
      For your dial screws it might be they are the wrong head on the screw so if you pick up a donor watch be sure its a 6309,6319,6119.6106 as these all have the same dial screws.

    • @JulienMR
      @JulienMR 2 года назад

      @@MyRetroWatches yes, or the dial is not an original one :( Thank you so much for your answer !!! And keep up the good work !

    what did you use to pick up the dust from the dial?
