How exactly do you figure that's not a "good thing" for investors?
The word you are looking for is scalper / flipper and those people haven't doing anything since 2021 when the pokemon craze ended.
I think it’s kind of better for us that stay in the hobby that prices are tanking and things are becoming more affordable, BUT… with the pull rates being TOO good it kind of ruins the chase, yk
guess we gotta wait and see what the rest of the S&V era has in store. hopefully it gets a little more balanced
As a collector who collects for the cards and not investments, the lower prices is like heaven for me! It’s like pre covid Pokémon cards where it was affordable to master set without spending thousands of dollars.
Before we know it it will be vintage
I wish such a box would be released in Germany. 14 Packs for 40€ or even 50€ would be an awesome deal.

I’m Australian and I bought some Pokémon packs yesterday. 56 dollars for 7 packs! So expensive in my area in my country. Others in Australia are so lucky, they get their packs for 4.50$ each 😅

You know when Rev is using one of the safest car seats for his kids he loves them dearly. How lucky they are to have such a awesome dad! And i know he feels just as lucky to have his family and us as fans. Miss my dad so much. Had to go off topic for a moment to recognize just how awesome he is.

The whole Scarlet & Violet situation I think is good. The prices may be down but this makes it more accessible for people to access the hobby and enjoy the fun of opening packs and collecting cards. Historically I always thought it was too expensive to get into until Scarlet & Violet era when things were on sale and affordable thats when I jumped on the train.
For me, I find more value in pulling my own cards over buying them individually. The cards I pull have a story to them instead of just having a dollar value. Thats what my collection is mainly about.

You do the majority of the set by pulling and then just buy the rest, otherwise you go bankrupt😅

i personally love these videos, when you go out and give insight and opinions on the hobby as a general, i know that your openings and reactions and cool setup is what got you where you are, but its your take on other issues in the hobby that do it for me. good stuff rev

I think lower prices are great! I get to collect and rip and just generally enjoy the cards without having to worry so much about cost.

It great to hear someone talking about the change in the hobby. As someone who got back into the hobby in the early Sword & Shield Era, after being in and out since the OG days as a kid, these new sets are fun but the chase seems to be a lot less of a "chase." That being said I feel like Pokémon is going to be fine. Yeah Scarlett & Violet is trying something new but that's how most things go. I know there are a lot of people saying Lorcana is going to "take over" but I think it is going to get more people into TCGs in general which will also help Pokémon.
I am new to getting back into TCG's, so take this opinion as not a seasoned veteran, but the full art and illustrator cards are the ones that really brought me back into it. I was always way more into yugioh when I was younger but that was because of the art mainly. i loved the art! I noticed that the dragonball cards recently have a full card art style that I am looking forward to diving into, they look so sick! could you imagine full art yugioh cards though?!? schwing!

@@A2B_MusicJust wanted to say the same… Im from Slovenia and the chespest i can get packs for is like 4,13€, and even thats only on occasions when a certain shop has a -20% discount… + usually they only have silver tempest, astral radiance and lost origin if youre lucky…

I recently got back into collecting with my kids. Absolutely hate that I got rid of my OG set from my teens. It's been fun picking up packs with the kids and we even got into building decks and playing.
Over a week until 151 comes out in English! Who else is hyped?

I think it's kind of good, it makes sets easier to collect, the cards themselves are very reasonably priced too, it's a nice refresh, they may slow down a bit but it is nice
I really like seeing you film Outside in the wild doing the day to day life. It’s a nice break from the studio vids.

I've been ranting about this so much. there's so much stuff we don't get here and the things we get are usually INSANELY priced in comparison. like this box would easily be minimum 80€, if it was sold here.

I think it’s great for others to get into without spending crazy amounts of money to get into and be intimidated about like maintaining there hobby within it and it’s get because kids can actually spend less to actually enjoy it without there parents being scared spend sooo much money for it so in my opinion it’s a good thing to an extent for a broad range of people to get into it

Lower prices are definitely more consumer friendly. The crazy prices on the older sets are only for the dedicated collectors, but if a company wants to thrive, it's better for them to get more casual people involved.

This is the worst deal. Why do u think there are so many boxes. I opened a few of them and the packs were almost all light packs. 1/5 chance.

That’s a cool box set. I think Pokémon will get more stable after 151 releases. Think that will be the rebound set for Scarlet and Violet.
I agree and we'll see what pokémon 151 the English set does cuz Scarlet and Violet has been a letdown even though I don't really open pokémon cards anymore it's kind of violet when I watch people open it it's just looks like a terrible set
Paradox rift is gonna be where we hit the s/v groove. A lot of very competitive cards and cool arts in the set that will be in good demand.

Yeah, its weird. I get better prices buying market rather than distribution. I pay around $83 a box for SV at distro level, however, I can get a steady supply of them for $62/box from market

Increased pull rates are not necessarily a good thing, it great to get all the necessary cards I'm the set but there's no chase, no rarity and bottom line that's what stops everyone from buying! That's my best logic on it
Scarlet and Violet definitely feel strange. i'm not as excited for sets as I was for sword/shield. Definitely buying more cards individually vs opening

I think the lower prices are good for me personally for me as a collector who recently got back into the hobby. This give me a chance to invest in sealed products at a lower entry point and hold onto it and see what the market does over time as a passive investment.

So i stumbled across your channel a while back and the crazy part is im 43 and never really into Pokemon but after watching your videos and they are very informative and fun to watch as well, my youngest daughter is 16 and we started bonding and having our own thing by collecting Pokemon. The scarlet & violet thing is definitely a weird situation to happen, but I think it’s definitely worth different hobbies! You should start vloging like you mentioned.
