Should the name of the part be called a (Rear Tie) bar and not a (Traction Bar)..?? Because it ties the rear end together from the toe end adjustments from either side. Years ago there was an after market part for Pickup trucks called a (Traction Bar). Those traction bars helped pickup trucks rear axel from rotating under heavy acceleration. Hence they helped a pickup truck get better traction. This part by TB Performance should be called a Rear Tie, because it ties the rear end together, and stiffness rear end under heavy cornering around turns, curves, in the mountains and high cross winds too. I have a Rear Tie for my 2007 Hyundai Elantra. I really like my rear tie because its also helps keep my rear end tight and down in heavy cross winds. And as I pass large diesel big rig trucks in high head winds too. We all have passed big rig trunks on the highway in heavy winds. This is when I really feel my rear tie help my cars performance. Without my rear tie, I could feel my rear end wiggle, wobble and shift on the highway in heavy winds.
I would say even just 5% to 7% improvement in stiffness without going to a full , more expensive coilover/spring setup is good. At this level of car I think this may be a worthwhile and fun mod. TB makes really high quality stuff too.
Can I do this install with the car on ramps (meaning, while suspension is under load) or does the suspension need to be not under load (requiring jack stands or a lift)? Also same question for the Cusco rear sway bar. Thanks!
Hi M! I use a car lift for my installs (saves me a lot of time over jackstands) link to the lift in the video description. But yes an experienced mechanic can technically perform, most if not all jobs with jackstands or ramps (unless of course the wheel needs to be removed, the ramps will not work). Cheers!
Hi Antoine! I have not heard of someone attempting to install this in a Prius. I would recommend contacting TB Performance to check but likely it will only work for the E210. Cheers!
Hi Josh! Nope, unfortunately Toyota hasn't released a service manual for the E210, the only current way to access this info is with a Techstream subscription ugh. But I will update this comment if I ever do get a hold of them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Charles! ah good question, remember sway bars / traction bars do not typically are felt during normal daily driving (unlike springs or larger wheels) since they only become functional when pushing the car hard in corners, hard braking, hard acceleration. Hope this helps bud!

Hi C! Ah great question, I would defer to TB Performance regarding the name choice lol Cheers!

Good to see another upload
And more are coming Papa Prime! Stay tuned and Cheers from California! 😎
Dope!! Been waiting for this!
Thanks To0 Sloww! yeah this thing made a big difference after I installed it..

Do you think this would fit à 4th gen prius wich is similar to the corolla suspension wise ?

do it work with aftermarkert exhausts
Hi Dylan! This would depend on the aftermarket exhaust (pipe size, curvature design and routing). Hope this helps, Cheers!
I just installed it with a 2j midpipe and catback. 2.5" pipe is a very close fit; any larger and the traction bar won't fit.
You wouldn't happen to have the torque specs would you?

Awesome
Hi ideaynojodas! (that screen name! LOL) yeah it looks good and it works!
Hey man! Just wondering, have you found that the rear can be TOO stiff for a daily?

How much does it weigh?
Hi DC Fanboy! it weights about 3-4 lbs. Hope this helps and cheers!
Dude, Where is my car?!
There is too much traction on your ride already!
First!
Nice! Cheers from California Aaron!🍻
